Proud moment for the team — and well deserved.

Our Truro Rangers have been recognised in the Devon & Cornwall Police Citizens in Policing Awards 2025, winning the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) Award.

These guys go over and above, day in, day out — often in situations that don’t make the headlines but make a real difference on the ground. It’s great to see their professionalism and commitment to community safety formally acknowledged.

A big thank you to Devon & Cornwall Police for recognising the role private security and accredited patrol teams play in public safety. Well done, team!

𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴

We have been providing the city with a security resource for over two years now, and call this resource the Truro Rangers.

Now we are in the new financial year, we are pleased to be continuing to fund the Truro Rangers for five days a week. The rangers who patrol for 46 hours a week are a highly visible deterrent against low level crime and violence against shop workers.

In addition to these Truro BID funded hours, both 'Hot Spot Policing' by the local police and additional patrols undertaken by our Truro Rangers have been taking place as part of a Government funded initiative since last autumn. The Truro Rangers additional Hot Spot patrols, which are are mainly in the evenings and on alternate Saturdays are also set to continue this financial year.

The patrols aim to disrupt crime as well as enable impactful community engagement. We are pleased that the Truro Rangers are continuing to provide such an important resource alongside the city's local police.

Was a pleasure to donate £500 to the Plymouth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Interclub on 29 March. Flo Martial Arts B-Team came first in the white belt Quintet Tournament narrowly besting the Royal Marines team in a close final. Flo’s A-team came in third.

The winning team were able to nominate their chosen charity to donate the winning prize money to, and Andys Mans Club (a charity that supports men’s mental health) and Breast Cancer UK were chosen, each receiving £250 each. Both fantastic causes!

It was a great day and we were thrilled to support it.

We are thrilled to announce that our esteemed partners, Asia Shaheen Security Services, have secured a guarding contract with the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Kabul.

This achievement not only highlights their exceptional capabilities in security services but also strengthens our collaboration in providing top-notch safety solutions in the region.

We look forward to working closely with Asia Shaheen Security Services and supporting them in this vital role. Together, we aim to ensure a secure environment for diplomatic missions in Afghanistan.

Axien’s Truro Rangers Praised. 👏 Professionalism and community care is at the heart of Axien Security, so we were delighted to receive this feedback from members of the public, who’d been helped by two of our Truro Rangers.

Axien’s Rangers work in several town centres across the southwest, ensuring they are a safe, welcoming place for everyone. From responding to incidents ranging from retail crime, street drinking, substance misuse, anti-social behaviour and first-aid assistance, our Rangers play a vital role in supporting local communities.

Originating in Plymouth as PARC Rangers (Plymouth Against Retail Crime), this highly successful retail security model has been implemented nationally and is managed by Axien in three other southwest towns: Newquay, Truro and Bath.

Commissioned by each town’s respective BID (Business Improvement District), Axien’s Rangers are consistently praised for their level of service, often delivered under challenging circumstances.

Truro BID Manager Alun Jones recognised the fantastic job our Truro Rangers are doing when passing on this recent feedback with “Positive public feedback, well done Will / guys” as did the Town Clerk at Truro City Council.

We’re incredibly proud to have PARC Rangers Will and Garrin on Axien’s team, whose hard work and commitment are making a real difference in the Truro community. Well done to them and the other Axien Rangers for upholding our values and delivering outstanding service.

We’re proud to announce that Axien Security has once again been Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) accredited by Devon & Cornwall Police, extending our status through to 2027.

This renewed accreditation allows our team to continue supporting the Plymouth Against Retail Crime (PARC)partnership with additional powers under the Police Reform Act 2002 — helping us protect businesses, staff, and the public in Plymouth’s city centre.

Big thanks to our dedicated officers and to all our partners who continue to make this proactive model of community safety such a success. We’re proud to be part of a programme that remains a national benchmark for CSAS deploymentin the UK.

We have continued working closely with the Truro Rangers as part of hotspot policing to reduce antisocial behaviour (ASB).

Check out the map showing just one of their foot patrols where they walked over five miles! Together, we are engaging with the community, visiting local premises and sharing intelligence.

Over the past three months, our officers have also attended 90 ASB incidents and made 13 arrests while on hotspot patrol.

By coordinating with the Truro Rangers, we have greater visibility in the city centre to deter crime and reassure members of the public.

Today I have carried out one of my daily patrols in partnership with Truro Ranger Garin - funded via Truro BID.

Our daily patrols see us deal with ASB face to face and reduce calls to our Truro, Perranporth and Tregony Police colleagues by dealing with these matters before they escalate.
