Plymouth | Finance Manager | £30k–£40k

A brilliant opportunity to join a successful manufacturing/engineering business in Plymouth as their Finance Manager.

This is a varied, hands-on role within a growing SME where you’ll take ownership of the full finance function alongside HR administration and support.

The business is looking for someone practical, capable and comfortable managing everything from transactional finance through to management accounts — someone who enjoys being trusted to run their own area rather than operating in a large corporate structure.

The role includes:
• Management accounts
• Cashflow & VAT
• Payroll & pensions
• Banking & reconciliations
• Year-end support with auditors
• HR admin, contracts & policy updates

You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and become a key part of the business.
✔ SME finance experience preferred
✔ Excel skills essential
✔ Qualified by experience or formal qualifications considered
✔ Full-time permanent role
Salary: circa £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Stores Controller

Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 per year

We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores Controller to join a busy and growing team. This is a hands-on role that plays a key part in keeping operations running smoothly, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

Working closely with procurement and production teams, you’ll help maintain high standards across stock control, organisation, and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and check deliveries against accompanying documentation
Accurately book goods into the system and allocate to relevant departments
Liaise with procurement regarding deliveries, shortages, or discrepancies
Update inventory and stock systems using delivery notes
Pick, pack, and dispatch goods in line with delivery schedules
Operate forklifts to move, store, and organise stock within the warehouse/stores area
Deliver materials internally to relevant departments
Complete picklists and packing documentation accurately
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Follow company procedures and health & safety regulations at all times
Participate in training and continuous improvement activities as required

Skills & Experience
Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment within manufacturing
Good understanding of stock control and inventory processes
Valid forklift licence required — ideally with experience operating both OKM and Aislemaster trucks
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
Basic IT skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Outlook/email
High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

I’m working with an award-winning manufacturing business in Plymouth that designs and produces high-quality sheet metal components for globally recognised brands — and they’re looking to add a CAD Design Engineer to their growing team.

This is a genuinely lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys seeing designs come to life from concept through to manufacture.

You’ll be involved in:
✔ 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and SheetWorks
✔ Bespoke fabrication projects and new product development
✔ Working closely with production teams to ensure practical, manufacturable designs
✔ Design-for-manufacture across laser cutting, CNC folding, and welding processes
✔ Continuous improvement and product development initiatives
We’d love to hear from people with:
🔹 SolidWorks experience
🔹 Sheet metal/fabrication knowledge
🔹 Ability to read engineering drawings/specifications
🔹 HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
