You will be responsible for retaining and growing existing customers, onboarding new farms, and developing a strong local presence within the dairy community. Using a consultative, solutions-led approach, you’ll act as a trusted advisor: supporting farms with everything from core milk recording through to health testing and advanced genomics.

Choosing a career after finishing education can feel overwhelming, like you should have it all figured out. 😅

In reality, career paths are a bit more ‘squiggly’. Most of us figure things out by trying, staying curious, and exploring the unconventional route. Even if that means an industry you might not usually think of first – like agriculture!

We’ve been working with Youth Employment UK to share real stories and advice from colleagues Josh, Eva and Natasha as part of a course on exploring local careers.

If there’s one takeaway, it’s this: don’t be afraid to just try things, be open and ask questions. Everyone’s path looks different, so the most important thing is what feels right for you!

Alexandre Barbosa de Brito, Head of Global Technical - Species at AB Vista, and Łukasz Wyrzykowski, Managing Director of IFCN, sat down to challenge each other in a career conversation, with questions like: ‘What’s a belief you have about work that others might disagree with?’, and 'What's your biggest work weakness?'

What career advice would you tell your younger self? 🤔
