Clients call with roles that needed filling yesterday, candidates are dashing to interviews or waiting nervously for feedback, and the phone never stops ringing.

It’s a fast-paced job that can feel a little frightful at times, so finding moments to have fun together is so important for keeping team spirit alive.

With spooky season upon us, we decided it was time to stir up some ghoulishly good team bonding with a pumpkin carving competition! 🎃

On Tuesday, the team were surprised when the Office Manager gave them a pumpkin and told them they had until 10:00 on Friday to bring their creepiest, funniest, or most creative ideas to life.

The results are in, the pumpkins are spook-tacular, and it’s safe to say we’ve had a real monster week! 👻

Yesterday NW Recruitment Services Ltd were proud to drop in at Burnley FC in the Community and BPR CVS's Over-50s Employability Programme at Down Town in Burnley.

This fantastic initiative helps people aged 50+ re-enter the workforce with confidence. Offering skills support, job-search coaching, and employer engagement.

We had the chance to:
✅ Make new connections with employment coaches
✅ Connect directly with candidates looking to return to work

We're thrilled to share that one candidate we met during the session is starting work on Monday! 🎉

It was brilliant to meet such a motivated group of individuals—and to see Burnley FC in the Community delivering real impact through local partnerships 💼
