Goods In Assistant, Challow, Wantage £25,000 Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated Goods Assistant to join a small team. This role involves managing stock and ensuring the smooth operation of our the goods department. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, materials handling to support various tasks within the warehouse environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for paid overtime each week.

Responsibilities
Organise and maintain stock levels ensuring products are accessible
Safely load and unload deliveries
Handle materials efficiently, including lifting of goods and equipment
Support warehouse by loading and unloading stock from lorries or storage areas
Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met
Collaborate with team members to optimise stock rotation and minimise stock discrepancies

Requirements
Ideally experience in warehouse operations or stock
Knowledge of warehouses is advantageous
Materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely
Ability to load and unload stock efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks regularly
