It is Mental Health Awareness Week and we’ve loved seeing so many posts from our clients promoting positive well being and support for their teams.

This year’s theme is ‘Connect with nature’ which is incredibly fitting given one of the few things we have been able to do over the last 14 months has been to really take in our beautiful country and all that it has to offer. Whether you have taken a 10 minute walk around the block on your lunch, set yourself challenges on how many miles you will walk or really gone back to basics over this period, we owe nature a lot.

JR are working with a rapidly expanding transport business looking for an entry level Administrator to join a small and growing team. You will in turn be offered entry to the CMI (Chartered Management Institution) apprenticeship to be completed alongside your day to day responsibilities.

You must have two A Levels or equivalent to qualify.

Process booking
Assisting with customer queries when required
Process invoices
Assisting with social media advertising

Supporting the Financial Accountant you will be studying your ACCA/CIMA and be looking for a business that can offer progression and development.

A varied and busy role, you will assist with the preparation of management accounts therefore you will have demonstrated experience of accruals and prepayments, bank reconcilliations and VAT reconcilliations and managing the fixed asset register. This offers breadth of experience and will be perfect for someone looking to gain further exposure and create real impact.

Key skills:

Proven experience in a financial accounting role
Intermediate Excel skills
AAT qualified / Part ACCA qualified
Knowledge of SAP/Sage

JR Recruitment are currently looking for a Sales Administrator to join a fast paced and forward thinking distribution company in Nottingham. Joining a small team, you will have bags of initiative and be happy supporting others as you will be working across two teams.

It is our first ‘official’ day back in the office and fortunately we haven’t had to make loads of adjustments as it is just myself and Kelly Bestwick in, with our friends Bygott Biggs Legal Recruitment returning upstairs soon.

First school girl error was forgetting milk so no tea/coffee for us and KB forgot her entire handbag so I’ve had a dash to Costa when we realised we actually couldn’t survive without a cuppa. Having the fridge within rolling distance has been an absolute luxury but I am actually quite happy to have some sort of restriction in place on how many times I can open the door and just gnaw on a block of cheese or eat cereal out of the box.

Kelly is refusing to have her photo taken because she has still not made it into the hairdressers to get her roots done and I think I am still in a cloud of fog from my first trip back into a bar over the weekend.

We would love to know what is happening out there in the real world and how your job has changed? Have you ventured into the office yet and how have things adapted where you are? Have you enjoyed working from home and dreading having to make the commute back in to the office and actually heaven forbid, talk to people? Do you think you will be meeting clients for a face to face meet any time soon?

We have been a bit quiet recently... It is absolutely no secret that the pandemic has had a massive influence on the job market and we have seen quite the transformation in the last 3 months.
