We have a new face in the office as Bobby Taylor joins Approach Personnel in the role of Trainee Recruitment Consultant. He has been busy getting to work in our trades & labour division and we are excited to see all he goes on to achieve at Approach. We caught up with Bobby to learn a bit more about what brought him to us:

‘Prior to joining Approach I was a shift leader at McDonald’s, I joined the company at 17 straight from school and worked my way up.

I was interested in a job at Approach because of the positive work environment and the sense of achievement within the job, helping others get into employment was appealing.

During my time here I’m aiming to become a valuable team member, reliable and trusted, eventually leading to personal growth within the company .

Outside of work I play and watch football most days, go to the gym, spend time with family on the weekend and enjoy having a drink with my friends every now and then.’

We would like to take a moment to welcome a new face to our team here at Approach Personnel. Simon Brend BA (Hons) has joined us in the role of Business Development Manager and brings with him a wealth of experience.

We caught up with Simon to learn a little more about him and what brought him to Approach...

‘I’ve worked in recruitment for 20 years now and what has been most of my working life.

The vision and plans for the business Sam and Alan have really excited me as well as the role they have created for me. It is a great opportunity to work with talented recruiters across our vertical markets to build and strengthen working relationships with new and existing clients. The Approach values are aligned to myself, and I feel it is the right business and environment for me to take my recruitment career forward.

I hope to help the business scale up and to achieve its growth plans as well as mentor and support all new recruits, while working with all consultants to build and strengthen working relationships with new and existing clients.

Outside work I enjoy watching Football and having a beer or two. I spend a lot of time doing this and I support Arsenal. Hopefully, we don’t bottle it this month and we can win the Premier League and Champions League! I also enjoy family time. My Daughter does figure skating and has provided entertainment at a recent Nottingham Panthers game during the break. My son is a performer and attends Studio 79 college in Leicester and wants to be a star in the West End. Most of my spare time I’m being Dad Taxi for them both.’
