Amelie is a stand out member of the team for her unfaltering reliability and has been a key player in helping drive her divisions growth over the past few months. It was a pleasure to support our good friends at Emmanuel House Support Centre set up for their 50 year celebration last week at St Marys Church in Nottingham!

Emmanual House are a wonderful local charity who do a lot of positive work with the homeless community in Nottingham, so it is always a priority for us to help them wherever we can, whether through donations or committing our time to their cause.

‘I was interested in the apprenticeship because not only do I get the qualification but I also gain experience in a professional environment and a deeper understanding of a real business environment. I thought completing my apprenticeship with Approach Personnel would be a good advantage for my future years.

I chose Approach because all the staff are kind and welcoming and it felt like a comfortable place to work. My main goal is to complete my level 3 apprenticeship and gain as much knowledge and experience as I can. I want to become confident working here and take on new challenges!

Outside of work I enjoy going for out with friends and doing day outs with family members.’

At Approach Personnel, Corporate Social Responsibility means investing in the people we work with and the communities they live in.

Our Principal Consultant Jessi Pabla has been working with Nottingham City Council to upskill her candidates, and the results speak for themselves.

5 Telehandler tickets, 2 Forward Tipping Dumper tickets, a CSCS card and an SMSTS pass. Even better, one worker has landed a permanent Telehandler role, and another has gone from labourer to Site Supervisor.

We have a new team member to introduce here at Approach Personnel. Steve Moult has joined our White Collar Division as Associate Director this week and has already hit the ground running in his new role. We caught up with Steve to learn a little more about him and what brought him to Approach...

‘My career has always been in recruitment. After graduating with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science, I made the unknown step into recruitment in 2006, didn’t look back and this year is my 20th anniversary. I spent 16 years at Hays. Starting as a trainee on trades and labour, progressing to Business Director and managing multiple teams who specialised in temp and perm construction recruitment in the East Midlands, across a number of different offices. I then more recently worked at Michael Page for the last 4 and a half years leading their UK construction temp business.

The reason I chose to join Approach was the people, culture, client portfolio and opportunity to use my expertise to help Alan, Adam and Sam grow the business.

I am looking forward to leading and growing the white collar business, predominantly with permanent appointments, whilst establishing the freelance new build housing market. Working collaboratively with the already established trades and labour team to grow the business and become the recruiter of choice across all levels in the UK construction market.

Outside work I am a family man, married for 13 years and dad to 3 (almost) teenage children. Enjoy watching and supporting them in all of their sporting activities and other interests. Retired non league footballer who currently manages a local football team Sileby Town whilst occasionally getting the boots back on for the odd vets game. Retired cricketer who now enjoys watching my youngest play for Sileby Town cricket club in the summer months. Leicester City fan and have spent many years following them home and away with my Dad through many ups and downs. Enjoying watching NFL, occasional round of golf, national trust member, very average DIY enthusiast, love a nice day out with the family and going on as many different holidays as possible.’

Could a 2.5% deposit help get Britain building?

The UK Government’s proposed Your First Home scheme could make new-build homes more accessible to first-time buyers, with deposits potentially starting from just 2.5%.

But the potential impact goes much further than homeownership.
