We are fortunate enough to read hundreds of CV's on a weekly basis at Elizabeth Michael Associates. There are some fundamentals that you can apply to ensure you are optimising your CV while hunting for your next opportunity.

Here are our 5 'must do' points to ensure your CV is meeting the standard required during your job hunt:

𝟭. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲

Aim for 1–2 pages. Recruiters scan CVs quickly, so make sure the key information is easy to find.

𝟮. 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲

Simple formatting wins. Clear headings, consistent fonts, and bullet points make your CV easy to read.
