I saw this graphic and thought how inspiring it was! We often talk about how many bags of product we sell, how much income we generate, but particularly for us as a business it is important that this is only done in order to promote our impact. That's the most important bit and for Norfolk Industries can be identified through several routes -
1) Our employment of people with disabilities and provision of work placements to others - improving mental health and well-being, as well as the financial situation of our employees
2) The reduction of waste through our use of recycled and repurposed materials
3) The health and well-being of the small animals who use our products
When you purchase from Norfolk Industries, you are actively buying into the impact that we generate!

Although we are a little late to the party, we wanted to acknowledge National Rescue Dog Day which was actually on 20th May as it is every year!

Here is more information about this - https://nationaldaycalendar.com/celebrations/national-rescue-dog-day-may-20

And don't forget that we can supply 10kg bales of shredded paper for dogs and puppies beds and kennels. This papers is soft, white, clean and absorbent and a great way to provide bedding which does not require washing, but can be disposed of as recycled material, also produced by people with disabilities! Find out more about how we can despatch these bales all over the UK at our website. www.norfolkindustries.co.uk

As for rescuing dogs, there are so many out there that need caring and loving homes so instead of just thinking about a puppy from a reputable breeder, just take a moment to consider a dog or puppy who needs rescuing. Happy belated National Rescue Dog Day!

Each year on May 20, we recognizes all the benefits of allowing a four-legged canine to adopt you into their immeasurably lovable life on National Rescue Dog Day.

Some interesting information gained from the National Pet Shop Day in that people see the massive benefits of local independent shops but when it actually comes to buying habits, the large chains just seem more convenient?

New research from Johnson's Veterinary Products has revealed that 67% of pet owners think local shops are important to their community, yet only 12% name an independent as their main source of pet products. It is that worrying gap between sentiment and shopping behaviour that this year's National Pe...

It's Mental Health Awareness week! Small steps can make a big difference and I think that 'share your feeling' is one of the hardest but most important things that you can do when you are struggling. However, just acknowledging to yourself that you are in fact struggling is even harder to accept.

It's been wonderful to have Sue back at work this week after recovering from illness.
As a team we've all pulled together to keep producing product and getting it out of the door on time to meet commercial customers demands but this is a fantastic moment to celebrate her return! Welcome back, you've been missed!!

In today's economic market, profit margins with rising costs are incredibly difficult to sustain. It is such a shame to hear that The Ark is closing it's door permanently after 30 years of trading. Another loss to the high street.
