And our winner is ......... Doug!
I am pleased to announce that Doug is the winner of the Cutest Dog within our wider organisation Independence Matters CIC!
And what a cutie he is.
Doug will receive a selection of great items from the Sir Woofchester range of products kindly donated by Pet Trade Innovations.
Norfolk Industries packs their Roast Dinners and Fish and Chip Dinners and this was a great way to cross promote our commercial customers with our wider parent company.

We have loads of these '5 bar gate' panels that we want to get rid of.
If anyone wants them for fence building, chopping up for kindling, making things from, then please do get in touch and you would need to collect please.
You can see from the second photo that we have plenty!

We have this decommissioned GV4 Form Fill and Seal machine which we now no longer need. Does anyone have any ideas for who we should contact with regard to shifting this?
We were originally told that we would get £5k for it, but now that it has been decommissioned we are struggling to get it moved.
Ideally we want something for it, it's a £50k machine when new and we are a not-for-profit organisation so we don't have profits to write off!
Any advice please?

Now that the days are starting to shorten a little and nights are getting a little cooler, why not stock up on dog bedding for your outdoor kennels?

Our 10kg bales are produced from food grade paper which is repurposed waste, produced by people with disabilities and is soft, safe, warm and absorbent.

Although we are a little late, Never Give Up day was on the 18th August, it's important that we celebrate this day!
Even when times get really hard, personally or at work, dig in and keep pushing.
The definition of tenacity in the Cambridge Dictionary - 'the ability to keep doing something difficult'.
Just remember that if people gave up easily, there would be no technology, no medicine, no inventions, we would still be living in caves!!
Be tenacious and persistent in whatever you do and Never Give Up.

A story about communication -
I was asked to go down into the factory and assist with a fan dispute in the hot weather.
Someone had come into work (let's call them A), moved the fans to suit themselves and caused another person in the team (let's call them B) to have the fan blowing on the back of their head which was annoying them. I asked 'Have you spoken to each other about this?', A said 'Yes, but they mumbled and I couldn't hear them.' So I asked A if they got B to repeat themselves, but no they hadn't. The fan continued to annoy B and they gave up trying to communicate as B just thought that A was just ignoring them.

I got an extension lead, moved the fan, tested that it was blowing on A but not on B, checked that everyone was happy and explained that simple things like this can be sorted out with clear communication. Just speak to each other properly without getting annoyed and then you can normally find a solution.

There is definitely a connection to the disabilities involved here, but trying to support people to be more aware of each other, particularly when working in teams is key to avoiding small issues like this which can escalate into much bigger problems, breaking up teams and causing tensions, misunderstandings and ultimately gossip and isolation of individuals.
