The Role:
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join our client's regional delivery team. You’ll be delivering cage-loaded goods to stores across the region, ensuring timely and professional service.

This is clean, straightforward work, ideal for drivers looking for consistency, good pay, and local routes.

Week 1: Mon to Fri

Week 2: Mon to Sat

Start times from 0300 - although some flexibility will be required.

Pay Rates:

£16.50/hr – Day Shifts (08:00–18:00)
£17.50/hr – Night Shifts (18:00–08:00)
£24.75/hr – Saturdays & Overtime
Minimum 8hrs pay per shift (although runs may be shorter)

Key Duties:
Store deliveries using Class 1 vehicles with cage work
Regional routes with multiple drops
Start times from 03:00 onwards
Rotate between 5-day and 6-day working weeks
Complete all relevant paperwork and vehicle checks

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
Experience with cage work preferred
Strong work ethic and professional attitude

Duties Include:

Assisting the driver with the delivery of white goods and electronics (e.g. fridges, washing machines, TVs, and other household appliances) to customer homes
Loading and unloading goods safely
Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
Ensuring delivery paperwork is completed accurately
Following all health and safety procedures

Requirements:

Must be physically fit (manual handling required)
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Good communication and teamwork skills
Must attend a site induction before starting
Must be willing to have a DBS check applied for on your behalf
Previous experience as a Drivers Mate or in a similar role preferred, but not essential

Start Times: 04:00 starts

Pay Rates (PAYE):

Monday – Saturday: £17.21 per hour
Sunday: £26.29 per hour

Assignment Length: 8–12 weeks initially
Temp to Perm opportunity available

Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (rota basis)

The Role:

Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
Multi-drop deliveries of bread to retail sites
Loading and unloading bakery products
Manual handling including lifting and loading trays of bread
Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
Completing delivery paperwork / PODs

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
