Starting Off Apprenticeships and jobs for young people across the UK Our offices are based in the town centres of Kettering and Northampton.

Starting Off are a recruitment and training company, specialising in careers and apprenticeships in business related environments. Through our working relationships with many of the local area's major employers, hundreds of small and medium size companies and the local Learning & Skills Council, we aim to provide the best career opportunities for apprentices, trainees and graduates in Northamptons

hire. Our recruitment work covers all types of jobs from engineering to office trainees. We deal mainly in permanent work or long term contracts. We do not deal with many short term temporary contracts that you might normally associate with an employment agency. Our training work covers all types of office skills from word processing and accounts through to audio transcription and administration. Our courses lead to OCR qualifications and are available with full time or day release attendance.

Today we say farewell to a truly valued member of the Starting Off team, Ellis.👋💚

Over the years, Ellis has made an incredible impact across so many areas of the business, from Marketing and Assessing to providing outstanding accounting tuition and support to our learners.

From completing his own AAT Apprenticeship to becoming an award-winning tutor, Ellis’ journey has been inspiring to watch. A particular highlight was seeing him recognised as Tutor of the Year at the AAT Training Provider Awards – a well-deserved achievement that reflects his dedication and passion for helping others succeed.

Ellis has played a key role in developing our AAT Learning Portal, Marketing courses and workshops, and has been a fantastic support with our Parent Webinars. Most importantly, he has positively impacted countless learners, offering guidance, encouragement, and expert support to help them achieve success in their AAT exams.
