Starting Off Apprenticeships and jobs for young people across the UK Our offices are based in the town centres of Kettering and Northampton.

Starting Off are a recruitment and training company, specialising in careers and apprenticeships in business related environments. Through our working relationships with many of the local area's major employers, hundreds of small and medium size companies and the local Learning & Skills Council, we aim to provide the best career opportunities for apprentices, trainees and graduates in Northamptons

hire. Our recruitment work covers all types of jobs from engineering to office trainees. We deal mainly in permanent work or long term contracts. We do not deal with many short term temporary contracts that you might normally associate with an employment agency. Our training work covers all types of office skills from word processing and accounts through to audio transcription and administration. Our courses lead to OCR qualifications and are available with full time or day release attendance.

Happy ! Today, we are celebrating two fantastic new apprentices who are Starting Off on their journeys with us!✨

Evie Kearns has started her Level 3 Multi Channel Marketing Apprenticeship at Tech Source💻
Luke Winkworth has started his Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship at Dunore Connections💼

Both Evie and Luke have shared that they are already enjoying their new roles and are doing well with their training so far, which is a fantastic start to their apprenticeships. Molly and Sophie, their assessors, have been impressed with their commitments so far.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our upcoming Apprenticeship Celebration Event on Thursday 24 September, from 9:30am to 1:30pm, at Vulcan Works in Northampton.

The event will bring together apprentices, employers and industry professionals for a morning of guest speakers, valuable insights and the chance to celebrate some fantastic achievements. We will also be introducing our Apprentice of the Year nominees, before crowning this year's winner.

Happy ! Today, we’re celebrating Amy Pattinson, who recently completed her Business Administration Apprenticeship at Emplas through Starting Off💙✨

Amy began her apprenticeship at Emplas in September 2025 and quickly settled into her role, throwing herself into her apprenticeship from the very beginning. Throughout the 9 months, Amy remained motivated, determined and positive, which helped her achieve fantastic results at every stage.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Amy completed her apprenticeship with Distinction across all three areas, a brilliant achievement!

Her assessor, Molly, shared:
“I am beyond proud of the hard work Amy put in throughout the 9 months of her apprenticeship. I was particularly impressed by how quickly she took feedback on board and the quality of evidence she provided throughout the course. A huge well done, Amy!”👏

Amy also shared her experience with Starting Off:
“My time with Starting Off was positive the entire way through. I really valued the 1-to-1 time, as it gave me the opportunity to talk about my progress, ask questions and get support when I needed it.
