RUTS Employability

RUTS Employability RUTS aims to equip young people with the confidence and skills required to achieve their highest potential and raise their aspirations.

History:
RUTS was established in 1981, by a group of enthusiastic motorcycling youth workers to provide activity-based groupwork projects for young people. These projects used off-road motorcycling as an activity which took the interest of the young people involved and encouraged involvement, but at the same time provided opportunities for useful growth experiences, such as teamwork and taking ins

truction. Present Day:
Today, although the project has been expanded to 20+ staff and has been finely-tuned, the philosophy remains the same and two-wheeled vehicles are still the main focus in working with young people referred to us. What we do at RUTS:
We use motorcycles and bicycles, and their related skills and issues to act as a focus in providing support and direction to young people. We promote building pathways to social inclusion.
