Today we celebrate Robert “Rabbie” Burns (1759–1796), Scotland’s national poet and one of the greatest voices in world literature.

Burns captured the beauty of everyday life, love, friendship, and the struggles of ordinary people with honesty and heart.

Burns championed equality, kindness, and human dignity, reminding us that poetry belongs to everyone. His legacy lives on every Burns Night, in shared meals, raised glasses, and verses recited with pride.

How are you celebrating Rabbie Burns today, sharing a poem or enjoying haggis in his honour?

For children and young people in care or support settings, access to quality education can be life-changing. It helps build confidence, independence, and essential life skills, while opening doors to future opportunities. 🍫🥚 Competition Results Are In! 🥚🍫

The results are in for our Hot vs Cold chocolate taste test — we thoroughly enjoyed the tasting.

Here’s how it turned out 👇
🔥 Hot favourites (1 = best):
• Galaxy 🥇
• Mini Eggs
• Terry’s

❄️ Cold favourites (1 = best):
• Mini Eggs 🥇
• Kinder

Looks like preferences definitely change with the temperature 😉

Which chocolate would you choose — hot or cold? Let us know in the comments! 🍫👇

🍫🔥❄️ Work Taste Test: Hot vs Cold Chocolate Edition ❄️🔥🍫

Today at work we put our taste buds to the test with a mini chocolate experiment! We rated a selection of popular chocolates based on how they taste hot (melted) versus cold (straight from the fridge).

On the tasting list:
Mini Eggs
Smarties
Milky Bar
Galaxy
Kinder
Terrys
Reese’s

Each chocolate was tried both ways and then ranked from 1–7, with 1 being the best and 7 the worst, based on flavour, texture, and overall enjoyment.

Let’s just say… not all chocolates are created equal when the temperature changes 👀🍫

Which one do you think wins hot, and which is better cold? 👇

This week, the Department for Education is consulting on updates to the Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance — the essential framework for how agencies protect and support children and families.

The proposed changes focus on stronger multi-agency collaboration, clearer roles and responsibilities, better information sharing, and an increased emphasis on early help and prevention. These updates are set to shape the future of safeguarding practice across the sector.

💡 Why this is important:
For children’s support workers and safeguarding professionals, understanding these updates ensures you’re delivering the safest, most effective support for children. It helps teams work together efficiently, prevents potential harm, and strengthens early intervention so that every child gets the support they need, when they need it.

Don’t miss out on these important developments that could transform the way we protect children.

We’ve received some fantastic feedback from our recent Team Teach training sessions, and we couldn’t be prouder ⭐

Staff have highlighted how practical, engaging, and confidence-building the training was, with clear strategies they can use immediately in real-world settings.

Team Teach is designed to support safer, more positive behaviour management, and it’s great to see how valuable participants are finding it.
