Major Recruitment are looking for a Site Handyman to work with a large manufacturing client in Middlesbrough. This vacancy is an immediate start and for a minimum of 6 months. The candidate will be working with the site maintenance team (non electrical) in order to maintain the equipment and machinery on site.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

Hours of work and duties are:
• Monday to Friday
• 8:30am to 5pm
• 30 min unpaid break
• Minimum 6 months
• No electrical work
• Inside and Outside
• £14.50 per hour

Working days:
22.5 hours per week, 6pm-2am shift, 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Deal with all FC Inbound, receipting goods and putting away product. Scan product and prepare pallet for loading
Deal with delivery discrepancies and notify appropriate personnel
Unload and load vehicles, using MHE. PPT, VNA, and counterbalance.
Deal with vehicle returns.
Collate items onto pallet drops
Quality check pallets

About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
Numerate, literate, and detail-oriented.
Warehouse Experience
A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.

You will support the safe movement and storage of material and assist with stock management.

Shifts are:
Monday – Friday, 0800 - 1600

Duties include:
• Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks safely.
• Load, unload and move materials around the site.
• Support Production and other departments with FLT requirements.
• Complete daily forklift checks and report any faults.
Essential experience:
• Current and valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck qualification.
• Current and valid Reach Forklift Truck qualification.
• Experience within manufacturing, production, warehousing or logistics.
