An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive, independent practice in Somerset. This is a permanent, full time position working 4 days per week with weekends on a 1 in 5 rota. The practice is very well equipped with gold standard of care at the forefront of their service, with new CT scanner, separate cat and dog areas, operating theatres, imaging suite and endoscopy suite. You will join an experienced 13 vet team that includes certificate holders. Areas of interest are supported and encouraged with regular case discussions. The role is ideally suited to a vet with around 5 years post graduate experience wanting to work within a progressive practice. Single site, RCVS accredited practice. On offer is a competitive salary, dependent on experience. Located in Somerset, with good access to Bristol (30 minutes away by road or train). Bristol airport, the M5 motorway and train station all within easy reach.

This is a hands-on leadership role covering team management, staffing and rota planning, operational performance, clinical governance, client experience and service development. Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and staff wellbeing, drive consistent clinical and operational standards, monitor performance and costs and identify opportunities for service improvement and growth. Looking for an excellent communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, able to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Multi-site management, workforce planning, budget management and coaching/mentoring experience are desirable.This a full time 40 hours a week role. Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse required to join a lovely team in a proudly independent practice in a Leicestershire. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm, no weekend consults. The practice does however provide their own out of hours, but the rota is quite infrequent and would be approximately one weekend in four and one evening per week, followed by one paid day off per month. All out of hours are triaged initially by a vet so if there are no calls and no inpatients there would be no need to attend. Competitive salary and benefits.

This is a permanent role working full time, 4 days per week with Saturday mornings (09:00 -12:00) on a 1 in 2 rota. Saturdays are consult only. No OOH, on call or bank holidays required.
