JOB OF THE WEEK!
EXPERIENCED NIGHT LOADER
PAIGNTON
The Role
You will be responsible for loading lorries with stock throughout the night. Full training will be provided, including training on a double mitre saw and cutting and wrapping machinery.
Training
Training will take place during the day:
• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 5:30pm
• Training rate: £13.09 per hour
Once training is successfully completed, you will move onto the night shift:
• Monday to Thursday: 6:00pm – 5:30am
• Night rate: £14.36 per hour
Requirements
• Previous experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Able to meet targets and deadlines
• Good common sense and a reliable approach to work
• Willing to follow all health and safety regulations
• Comfortable working night shifts

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
Newton Abbot

Support the operation of the office and factory facilities through completion of planned preventative maintenance, repairs, projects and process improvements.

Duties will include the following:

1. Participate in miscellaneous engineering related projects as required to support the manufacturing organisation.

2. Under supervision support the manufacturing operation with any engineering related issues in a suitable priority order.

3. Assist with the provision of timely breakdown assistance (Electrical & Mechanical) to support the manufacturing organisation.

4. Assist with the completion of accurate maintenance/breakdown records and log these onto the CMMS

5. Take an interest and be involved with the Continuous Improvement plans for the Business.

6. Support production by helping the engineering team to provide routine maintenance, fault finding and attending production breakdowns.

7. Assist the engineering team with monitoring and improving manufacturing processes where necessary.

8. Assist with undertaking routine facilities maintenance around the factory when required.

9. Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting on pneumatic, automatic, and semi-automated electro-mechanical machinery as required to ensure Production continuity.

Qualifications:
 An engineering apprenticeship
 OHC/HNC Level Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
 City & Guilds 7671 18th Edition Electrical Regulations

As a Production Planner, you'll be at the heart of our supply chain operations, ensuring products are available when customers need them while driving efficiencies across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing and developing supplier relationships and existing supply chains.

As a Production Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are produced to the highest standards of quality and delivered on time. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll operate production equipment, perform quality checks, and help drive efficiency across our production processes.
What You'll Be Doing
• Operating a variety of production machinery and tools in line with training and work instructions.

To ensure customer orders are accurately picked, packed and dispatched on time, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency within the dispatch area.
Key Responsibilities
• Pick and check customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Pack products securely and prepare them for dispatch.
• Ensure all goods are correctly labelled and documented.
• Load and unload deliveries safely where required.
• Arrange outgoing orders for collection by couriers and transport providers.
• Check quantities, product codes and paperwork before dispatch.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and other relevant machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe dispatch area.
• Report damaged, missing or incorrect goods to the relevant supervisor.
• Work closely with production, warehouse and logistics teams to meet dispatch deadlines.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and quality standards.
• Assist with stock checks and general warehouse duties when required.
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch or manufacturing environment is desirable.

• Forklift experience is desirable but not essential.

You will join a small, skilled team working across all areas of the production floor, including the Machine Shop, Welding, Glazing, and Fitting sections.

Key Responsibilities

Use air-powered tools to securely fit hardware to window and door frames.
Operate self-standing window fabrication machinery.
Rotate between production sections to develop multi-skilled abilities and provide cover for staff absences.
Maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Safely lift loads up to 25kg independently, with additional support provided for heavier items in line with Health & Safety requirements.
