The exhibition includes new paintings by:
Ben Sanderson, Pippa Young, Emma Turner, Michael Rees, Jane Robbins, Jason Walker, Janice Wing, Mark Nichols, Kate Walters, Duncan Hopkins, Jesse Leroy Smith, Emma Griffin, Richard Ballinger, Marie Clare Hamon, Faye Dobbinson, Cathy Richardson and Jane Ansell among other artists.

The new exhibition will run until January 18th with the second half of the show hung for a second exhibition running until late February 2013.

Normal opening times of 10.30am till 4.30pm Wednesday to Saturday.

Message to Artists...

We would like to invite artists to submit paintings for the next exhibition at bucca.

Bucca has a new member of the team with Jesse Leroy Smith having joined permanently in the running of the gallery.

For this open submission painting show we are interested to see a wide variety of works; anything goes within the medium of paint if no larger than the stipulated maximum image size below.

The exhibition will run through into late February of 2013 and so as to give a good opportunity to artists to get their work shown there will be two exhibitions from this submission. The work in the first exhibition will come down in early January and will be replaced by the second show of paintings to run until late February.


· Digital submission deadline by Tuesday November 13th by email to [email protected]

· Paintings to be no larger than 50cm in width including frame.

· Paintings can be made on any support such as canvas, board or paper for example (constructions are welcome too) but works must include the use of paint and they must be ready to hang. Unframed canvases are acceptable.

· Maximum of three paintings to be submitted digitally by any one artist.

· We had an amazing number of submissions to the first exhibition and so we will only be able to respond to artists who have been selected for the new exhibition. If successful you will hear from the team at bucca by Thursday 14th November.

· Show will preview on Friday November 16th 6pm till 9pm.

Had a great opening night of the first exhibition at bucca on Friday. Here's a corner of the front room of the gallery. We'll be open Wednesday to Saturday 10.30am to 4.30pm for the next six weeks until the next show in mid November. Website coming soon! Henry and Sam
