This Two Week Business and Well Being Boot Camp is designed to help make an impact on the jobs market within the North East. The employer led training helps develop the skills, attitude and behavior that businesses are looking for helping you succeed. Whether you are interested in an apprenticeship, looking for a job or simply want to develop yourself in a fun environment then this course is for you.
There will also be a Big Breakfast where local Business and Community Leaders will all meet to informally talk to you sharing advice and guidance.
An outline of The 2 Week Business and Well Being Boot Camp:
• Personal and Professional Assessment – capturing your strengths and weaknesses as well as learning styles and abilities. We will then be developing these over the next two weeks. By the end of the two weeks you should have a clear understanding of your career choices, ambitions, goals and aspirations.
• Problem solving and resilience – providing the relevant tools and techniques to help you become more adept at dealing with life and professional challenges. Enhancing and improving confidence, communication skills, mindfulness, mental and physical wellbeing, positive interaction and engaging with others.
• Personal Appearance - Covering all aspects from personal hygiene, hair and beauty and also personal presentation, acceptable dress code and maintaining self and clothing.
• Actions, Impact and Outcomes – Identifying and having a proper understanding of your actions both positive and negative and how they can impact on a business and the workers as well as family and friends.
• Communicating Effectively - Developing speaking, presenting and acting skills in various scenarios, including telephone techniques, radio presenting and role-play in live environments.
• Enterprise Awareness including Marketing and Management – An introduction to the key concepts of business and how they interlink, more importantly how employees can contribute to the overall success of a business. Learn key considerations to become an entrepreneur.
• Interview Techniques and skills – Having a fit for purpose CV is only a start. You will gain an understanding and appreciation of writing cover letters and experience at first hand various interview methods through assessment days delivered by HR managers and business owners.
• Social Media and Being Internet Savvy – The prolific use of Facebook and associated social media can be a cause for concern, yet at the same time it is a fantastic tool for both business and personal activities. You will be taught the potential pitfalls and acceptable usage, including privacy protection and how best to protect themselves on and off-line.
