Duties and Responsibilities

Driver Hire Teesside is looking to recruit an HGV 2 Driver to help our client based locally.

This role will involve delivering to various locations Nationwide. but there may be some manual handling required.

Full-time shifts are 4 on - 4 off around the clock Monday to Sunday, Day and night.

Candidate must hold Category ‘C’ on their UK Driving Licence, hold a valid CPC qualification, and Digital Tachograph.

This is a temporary, ad hoc position based in Sedgefield.

You will be required to ensure deliveries are made to the customer with a high level of customer service as standard, work in a safe, compliant, and professional manner in line with the client’s operational planning.

The role involves the delivery and collection of palletised goods around the North East using a curtain sided body, tail lift and pump truck.

Some pallets will be hazardous goods so an ADR is required.

This can be a physically demanding role.

Due to an increase in demand, Driver Hire are looking for a HGV 2 driver on a temporary basis for our client based around Teesside.

You will be delivering mixed freight to various sites and retail shops – customer service is essential here as you will be the face of the company. This role may involve some manual handling where you will be required to load and unload the vehicle, this could be pallets, furniture or cages, therefore you must be eager to get stuck in!

Cat C entitlement on your UK driving licence
