What an absolutely fantastic turnout we had yesterday at our “Open Access” Social Values event in partnership with Thomas Bow City Asphalt! 👏

A huge thank you to everybody who attended, participated and supported the day. It was brilliant to see local residents engaging with employers, asking questions, networking and gaining valuable insight into different career paths and industries.

Open Access will be a departure from your traditional recruitment fair. We are adopting a TED Talk style approach; powerful presentations, of 18 minutes or less. We are delighted by the support that we have received from independent local businesses in Melton. ACCESS 4 ALL – Free Workshops (Ages 17–25)

Looking to build your confidence and take the next step towards employment? Our 'Access 4 All’ short workshops are designed to support young people aged 17–25 with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

Course Details:
This workshop runs 2 days a week for 3 weeks:

Dear Valued Performing Arts Organisations, Community Groups and Businesses,

I am reaching out as part of the ongoing work with Discovery Trust to secure a sustainable future for the Melton Theatre and College site.

As a valued user of the theatre and/or studio spaces, your input is incredibly important. We are currently gathering information from local performing arts organisations, community groups and businesses to help shape a realistic and accessible operating model for 2027 and beyond.

This will directly inform:

🟡 Future pricing structures
🟡 Studio and theatre availability
🟡 Income forecasting to support the site’s long-term viability
🟡 Ensuring the venue remains accessible to local groups like yours

We are particularly keen to understand how current pricing has impacted studio use and what would enable you to increase your usage moving forward.

The short form should only take a few minutes to complete, but your response will play a vital role in helping to demonstrate demand and secure the future of this important community asset.
