About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Driver's Mate to join a busy and friendly furniture delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, providing excellent customer service, and being active throughout the working day.

As a Driver's Mate, you will assist the driver with the safe and efficient delivery of furniture to customers' homes and businesses. You will play a key role in ensuring all deliveries are completed professionally and on time.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting the driver with multi-drop furniture deliveries.
Loading and unloading furniture safely and efficiently.
Carrying items into customers' homes while taking care to avoid damage.
Assembling furniture where required.
Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

What We're Looking For
A positive, hardworking attitude.
Good physical fitness, as heavy lifting will be involved.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliability and punctuality.
Previous experience in furniture delivery, removals, warehouse work, or a similar role is beneficial but not essential.

What You'll Be Doing
✅ Sewing name tags onto a wide range of school uniforms, including blazers, shirts, knitwear and sportswear
✅ Working to high quality standards with excellent attention to detail
✅ Ensuring all personalisation is accurate and securely attached
✅ Maintaining productivity targets while delivering consistent workmanship
✅ Supporting the team during our busy seasonal period
Working Hours
Any 5 days out of 7, 08:00 - 16:30
Rotas provided 4 weeks in advance
Weekend availability required
Pay Rates
£8.00 per hour (Ages 16-17)
£10.85 per hour (Ages 18-20)
£12.71 per hour (Ages 21+)
Additional Earning Opportunities
💷 Overtime paid at Time + ⅓
💷 Peak season bonus opportunities of up to £120 per week
