The best person running a space agency's software programme didn't come from space.

10 years ago, he knew nothing about it. Today he leads it.

This is the part of the space economy few people talk about. The industry is growing faster than it can train its own people, so the leaders of the next decade will come from software, ERP, data, cyber and engineering, not just aerospace.

As Ioannis Trichakis said on The Space Curious Podcast:
"If you're willing to learn, you can do miracles."

If you're hiring in space, stop filtering for "space experience" and start filtering for learning velocity.

If you're outside the industry looking in, your skills probably transfer more than you think.
