Venrec are pleased to be recruiting for our client for a Senior Accountant to join our clients established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Maidstone, Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established practice where you will have the ability to develop and progress. Our client also takes a hands on approach to clients so there will be an opportunity to develop client management skills and to deal with clients from a variety of different industries/sectors.

The duties of the role will include:

- Preparing corporation and personal tax returns
- Preparing year end accounts
- Preparing VAT returns
- Planning work and meeting deadlines
- Assisting with the training of junior members of staff, including reviewing work
- Dealing with client queries

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Part qualified or qualified ACA or ACCA
- At least 5 years recent practice experience
- Experience using QuickBooks, Sage and Xero would be beneficial
- Experience using Iris practice software would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

The salary for this role is up to £38,000 depending on experience

The role entails (but is not limited to)

- Preparing weekly and monthly payroll for a variety of clients
- Dealing with any payroll related queries
- Setting up payrolls
- Pension auto enrolment
- Assisting with company secretarial matters including the preparation of confirmation statements
- Bookkeeping
- Accounts preparation

A successful candidate will have the following experience

- At least 2 years experience working within an accountancy practice
- At least 2 years payroll experience
- Previous experience using Sage would be beneficial

The salary for this role is up to £28,000 (full time equivalent) depending on experience but is flexible for the right candidate.

- Emergency First Aid (3 day course) however, this is not essential as full training will be given
- Experience administering medication

The role entails:

- Supporting the Home Manager in the daily management and running of the Care Home
- Ensuring that the needs of service users are met

- Ensuring that all new staff are given a comprehensive induction, and that all staff are aware of the standards that are expected.
- Making sure that Personal Development Plans and personal paperwork are completed as required
- Ensuring that the rota is covered
- Assisting the Home Manager in managing the financial matters associated with the running of the home
- Working with the Home Manager to ensure that all of the company’s policies, procedures and legal obligations are followed
- Making sure that the Home Manager is kept up to date with any ongoing issues
- Deputising for the Home Manager in their absence and when required

This role will involve working on a rolling shift pattern, including alternate weekends. This means that a flexible attitude to working hours, especially in regard to covering absence, holidays (including bank holidays) is required

The salary for this role is up to £25,000 depending on experience

The role entails but is not limited to:

- Cleaning various different areas including: classrooms, corridors, offices, nursery, bathrooms, changing rooms and swimming pool area etc.
- Ensuring that all classrooms and offices have sufficient sanitising supplies
- Cleaning meeting rooms and offices ahead of any meetings
- Ensuring that all bathrooms are appropriately stocked
- Dealing with any emergency cleaning (soiling of toilets, sickness, floods etc.)
- Undertaking any major periodic cleaning, including: cleaning carpets, light fittings, internal window cleaning, resealing polished floors etc.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience cleaning in school environment

- Being physically able to undertake the cleaning tasks
- Knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety at Work would be beneficial

The role entails:

- Driving students to and from Gatwick and Heathrow when needed
- Taking students on excursions and PE fixtures
- Providing a safe minibus service for the normal school pick ups and drop offs
- Organising a team of 2 drivers to ensure that all services are carried out in an orderly fashion
- Ensuring that the vehicles are adequately cleaned and maintained to a high standard

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience working with children
- A full clean PCV licence, either D or D1 with no 101 restriction
- Hold a valid CPC qualification
- Experience and knowledge using a Tachograph
- Holding a valid First Aid Certificate would be advantageous

The salary for this role is dependent on experience but between £10-£14 per hour

The role entails:

- Assisting with the care of children placed into the nursery
- Giving support to other members of staff
- Assisting with the implementation of any specialist lessons that take place outside the classroom: swimming, languages etc.
- Ensuring that good quality notes and records are maintained, detailing the children's development
- Assisting with the domestic management of the nursery, ensuring that the nursery is kept clean and secure at all times
- Being involved in out of work activities including: training, staff meetings, half term programmes (if required)

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- A recognised level 2 or level 3 Childcare qualification
- Recent experience working in a similar position
- A relevant First Aid qualification would be advantageous
