Mainstream Fleet Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for full time, part time or ad-hoc Class 1 Drivers based in Sittingbourne & Maidstone.

The role will entail:
- Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
- Delivering to RDC’s and collections to and from farms.
- The shifts are on average 12 hours long.
- Some flexibility for start times as they may vairy.
- Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Full Class 1 Driving licence (minimum of 3 months Class 1 experience).
- Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
- No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
- Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
- Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.

Shifts available are over a 7-day period between Sunday to Saturday with a mixture of day/ afternoon & night shifts available between 01:00 hours to 23.00 hours and our client offers long term work and can offer hours to suit.

All candidates are required to pass our clients assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (3-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday on days/ nights)

Pay Rates:
- Days - £16.70 p.h. (Monday to Friday).
- Nights - £17.80 p.h. (Monday to Friday).
- Saturday – Day £20.00 p.h./ Night £20.70 p.h.
- Sunday + Bank Holiday – Day £23.62 p.h./ Nights £25.87 p.h.

All the above rates are payrolled through PAYE and holiday accrual will be in addition to the rates as shown and is weekly paid.

Role Responsibilities:
- Loading/ unloading vehicles manually and checking off materials against manifest
- Yard ‘housekeeping’ – ensuring the environment is kept clean and tidy
- Inventory count and control as required
- Wood cutting/ painting and general maintenance of fixtures & fittings

Conduct requirements:
- Confident communicator
- Be a reliable and trustworthy member of the team
- Be positive and proactive in everything you do

Personal Training Requirements:
- Physically fit as heavy lifting is involved

The role entails:
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Manual Stock movement/ rotation
• Order Picking on pallets using a pedestrian pallet truck
• Working in a chilled environment of 2 degrees
• Some heavy lifting is involved

A successful candidate will have the following:
• Previous experience working in a chilled environment
• Holding a nationally accredited PPT certificate would be beneficial, but this is not essential as training will be provided
