Proposal Review Analyst, Greater London

We have partnered with a major European lessor. This is an important position that sits between Sales and Risk. Managing the full proposal process, covering credit and introducer applications from the point of receipt by Sales, through to the payout of the funding request as well as performing introducer reviews. Optimise the deal flow and managing Risk approvals for their Vendor and Introducer portfolio. Reviewing requests to onboard new introducers and increases to vendor programme limits. Ensure sufficient information on proposals, and check that these are within policy/appetite and suitably structured/priced. Candidates should have a strong ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders (Asset Management/Legal/Collections). Needs excellent analytical skills tempered with a sense of commerciality and business focus. Minimum 3-5 years experience in analysing and interpreting financial statements/data across various industries. Offering very good hybrid (WFH) options.

Leasing division of a well-established Bank, with a focus on broker introduced business. They have a newly created position. Working closely with an experienced Collections Officer to ensure the efficient and timely collection of asset finance arrears, by maintaining a pro-active strategy. Requires at least 2-4 years’ experience in a similar collections/recoveries role. Involves the monitoring of their finance portfolio and taking prompt action when accounts go into arrears. Making telephone calls to customers, emailing and sending letters to assess best course of action that protects the business and also treats the customer fairly. A challenging and highly rewarding role, supporting their customers in understanding their financial situation, asking exploratory questions to agree suitable arrangements. Also, identifying customers that show signs of vulnerability and ensure suitable steps are taken. Maintain and prepare arrears and portfolio reports for management as required. Provide a consistent high quality customer service to both external and internal customers. Strong negotiation skills essential. Offering hybrid working, requiring attendance of their offices three times per week.

Our client, part of a major European Bank, are seeking an experienced risk analyst to manage the statistical segment of their Credit Risk department, focusing on the analysis and evaluation of the portfolio. Covering all areas of their risk automated decisioning system and collections activity. Looking at trends and development that will enhance their offerings in supporting Sales, Business Development and Collections functions. Scope, plan and help in the delivery and testing of reports both locally and from their Central Data Function. Provide clear portfolio data to allow for further analysis, and work closely with the senior risk management team to identify issues. Propose solutions for effective decision-making. Use data-gathering techniques to improve data collection methods. Merge, manage, interrogate and extract data, and monitor, control, develop, test and implement changes. Take responsibility for qualifying deals and clients credit worthiness and prepare credit proposals. Negotiate conditions with brokers and clients to secure favourable terms. Monitor and analyse the activities and performances of key introducers (behaviour, proposals, acceptance rate and conversion rate). Will need to be able to access central London twice a week to support a particular established tech programme.

Interpret internal and external credit reference agency, broker and market reports. Generate financial ratios, using internal credit tools, to evaluate financial status and where necessary undertake benchmarking to compare liquidity, profitability and credit history of customers within a similar or the same industry and geographic locations. Use collateral curve analysis in line with market, sector, and portfolio considerations. Review current exposures as well as non-current customer/supplier/ third party introductory sources. Reports to their Head of Credit. Offices in Greater London, but offering good hybrid working options.
