As a member of the Safeguarding Partnership team this post is directly responsible for :-
• Supporting the safeguarding partnership to deliver the exploitation strategy
• Providing professional advice and support to partners and groups on exploitation and contextual safeguarding
• Contributing to the overall work of the safeguarding partnership team

Financial Responsibilities: None

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. To work as a member of the safeguarding partnership team, supporting the Safeguarding Partners in Slough.
2. To support the safeguarding partnership to develop its work on tackling exploitation of children and vulnerable adults in Slough at operation, tactical and strategic levels, and supporting the MACE group do deliver.
3. To review the SLG strategy on exploitation to incorporate lessons learned during COVID 19 and producing a sound multi-agency action plan and data set, through partnership consensus.
4. To support the safeguarding partnership learning and development manager, and where appropriate, deliver and co-deliver multi-agency safeguarding training and awareness raising in relation to exploitation and contextual safeguarding.
5. To ensure that multi-agency practice is continually supported and improved.

· Working alongside a multi-agency team of professionals, in partnership with families.
· To take a lead in the team using the Signs of Safety approach to social work practice.
· To encourage and support the team in adopting the Signs of Safety approach.
· Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective systems to ensure quality services.
· Engagement with MASH in relation to referrals, supervising Wellbeing Assessments and Section 47 investigation.
· Working in a multi-agency capacity to support families.
· Attend alongside the social worker at Child Protection Case Conferences
· Provide a consultation role on practice issues for staff and, where appropriate, managers.
· Provide specialist advice and support across the team.
· Provide supervision, mentoring and coaching to staff within Children’s Services as required and support other staff with students on placement to ensure good quality placements and development of the workforce.
· Take responsibility for delegated decision making appropriate to the role.

You will be joining an experienced and supportive integrated discharge team, working in a fast paced environment to affect timely discharges from hospital.

𝐍𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
Role will include deputizing, where necessary, for Manager in meetings.
