Big news for West London! Pure Data Centres and SEGRO have just secured planning approval for a massive hyperscale data centre at Premier Park, marking a £1 billion investment in digital infrastructure. This project is set to transform a redundant warehouse into a state-of-the-art, liquid cooled facility supporting AI infrastructure and high capacity computing.
The approved design by Scott Brownrigg spans 22,365 sq m and will provide 72MW of power capacity. The facility will feature nine data halls, office accommodations, storage areas, and a secure entrance pavilion. A dedicated substation will power the site. Construction is expected to kick off in 2026 through a joint venture between Pure Data Centres Group and SEGRO.
What sets this project apart is its commitment to sustainability. The building aims for BREEAM Excellent certification, with features like photovoltaic panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and potential heat recovery technology.
