It’s on the up again 📈

Very un-RP of us to do PSA’s, but seeing as the majority of our business is placing entry-level talent, this one is probably relevant.

National Minimum Wage is going up from April 2026.

The change means that the annual wage for anyone 21+ on a 40-hour work week will now be £26,436.80 (up from £25,396).

That new benchmark isn’t a “competitive starting salary” anymore; it’s the legal baseline.

And with the cost of living the way it is, the offer you make to entry-level candidates requires more consideration than ever before.

It’s important to make sure you’re competing, not just complying.

Obviously we know it’s all about the commission in this game. The earning potential in recruitment is one of the main reasons why we’re here.

But it can take a while to start earning the good stuff, so the importance of a competitive base salary for junior hires is greater than ever.

Especially if you live in a city where a pint now costs a million Great British pounds.

Back to memes after this, promise.

Easter chocolate >

Can’t explain it, but Easter chocolate is just better than regular chocolate.

It absolutely goes off.

And it’s even better when you get it for free in work.

We’re just sound like that, as detailed in the 5th core value behind.

Think we might need to do a bit more of core value 3 to make up for it though.

2026 Grads, how we doing?

There isn’t long left until you hand in those horrible dissertations and put the pen down in your final exams.

Not to pile on with your current stress levels, but it’s probably time you sorted yourself a job, isn’t it?

You’ve lived on own brand baked beans for long enough. Heinz are calling and they want your custom.

One way you can make that loftiest of dreams happen is by starting your job search now.

We’re working with a plethora (we know words) of top recruitment businesses looking to add graduate talent to their teams this summer.

With recruitment opportunities spanning a variety of sectors - such as tech, finance, and energy - these businesses are interviewing 2026 grads now.

Recruitment is a boss career that rewards hard work and provides a clear path of progression.

Not to mention, the earning potential is unrivalled. So name-brand beans are well and truly on the cards, along with other premium tinned foods.

(Commission can also be spent on things outside the sphere of canned goods)

Anyway, to put a lid on this laboured analogy, it’s probably a good idea to give it some beans and apply for a graduate recruitment role today.

Give us a shout to find out more.

Didn’t make them wait that long 👀

Almost don’t want to give them these awards for those poses, but considering they both had boss Feb’s, we’ll let them off.

Here’s the tale of the tape…

🥇 Top Biller: Sam

155% of target for Sammy T made him the main man this month. It was all about trusting the process and knowing the deals will follow. That’s exactly what happened, including 2 deals with a client that originally only wanted 1 hire.

☝️ Scousest Recruitment Person: Jake

The lad hit his target and got promoted, so that’s a good start. But more importantly, it’s how he got there. February was the culmination of month’s of training being put into best practice, and it paid off. Scouse that.

February was our second biggest month on record and these two were big players in making it happen. Congrats both!

A little Bunsen burner for ya.

Fancy making a rec to this rec2rec?

If you do, it’ll earn you a tidy little sum.

All we need from you is a referral of someone you think would boss it in recruitment.

Or maybe you already know someone in the industry who’s ready to take the next step.

Either way, if you point them in our direction, and we successfully find them a job… you’re getting paid.

Visit the referral page on our website for more info.

Or just give us a shout. We’re pretty sound.

Nice one you lovely lot.

Better late than never, no? 🏆

January seems like an eternity ago, so these are some very belated flowers being given here.

Absolutely deserved nonetheless.

🥇 Top Biller: Joe

The main in Jan - Joe hit his target and then some. January is a tough old month and even trickier from a standing start, but that didn’t stop the weatherman from having a belter.

👊 Scousest Recruitment Person: Ellie

Ellie joined RP in January and immediately channeled the Scouse mentality. She works hard and is always looking to better herself. And seeing as she’s one deal away from hitting a 6 month target in half that time, we’d say it’s paying off.

Well done both, hope you enjoyed holding the trophies for circa 10 seconds before the February winners pinched them from you.

Might announce those two soon. Might make them wait. Who knows.

Go onnnnn Jake 🫡

Huge congrats to Jake, who’s just hit his target and been promoted to Recruitment Person!

He’s going full 360. Watch out clients.

We’ll give Jake his flowers here.

It’s not easy moving to a new city and pinning everything on a job working out; but he’s absolutely gone for it and made it happen.

Two promotions down and plenty more to come.

Not content with just having work targets on his plate, he’s also been out here completing side quests…

Such as working his way through a 48 pack of Heinz beef ravioli from Too Good to Go.

Or becoming London’s biggest consumer of John West tuna.

Tinned food aside, he’s become a real asset to the team and we’re buzzing to see him go from strength to strength.

Well played Jake, onto the next one.
