A lovely temporary NYC role coming up from 30 October – 10 January ✨

We’re looking for an experienced, warm and flexible nanny to care for a 2-year-old girl, working with a high-profile family in New York during a theatre production.

Tuesday–Sunday | approx. 11am–7/8pm

This role would really suit someone who understands private households, can read the room, is discreet and, most importantly, genuinely loves working with toddlers.

Weekend thoughts after 16 years in the game…

I’ve definitely had a few moments where I’ve wondered if being a great nanny meant slowly morphing into my employers 😂 Thankfully, I’ve learnt that’s not actually the job.

For me, the nannies who really stand out have a genuine interest in children, know when to step in and when to step back, and have their own life and interests outside of work.

We work with families from all walks of life, cultures and religions, and every household does things differently. You can respect that, adapt to the family in front of you and still bring your own personality and experience to the table.

Be open-minded. Be adaptable. But most importantly, be yourself. That’s usually where the best matches happen anyway.

A new way to stay connected with Elite Staff Placements.

I’m opening up our Client Network to families, production teams and anyone who may need trusted childcare or staffing support — whether that’s now, later in the year, or completely last minute.

Once a month, I’ll share a short note with nannies to know, current availability, a little insight into the nanny market, London recommendations and what’s happening at the agency.

With much of my work coming through private families, recommendations and word of mouth, it feels like a lovely way to keep everyone connected beyond Instagram.

Behind Elite Staff Placements, it’s still just me.
