This weekend a group of young Cornish musicians have been working with musicians from IMS Prussia Cove in our thriving Outreach programme.

Over the weekend, the IMS musicians - Thomas Mathias, Clélia le Bret and our Outreach Consultant Tim Boulton - led a lively workshop and rehearsal with B.O.W.S (Band of West Strings) before coaching students on chamber music repertoire including Schumann's Piano Quartet and Mozart's Clarinet Quintet.

Today the group are visiting several local primary schools and giving whole-school concerts, with Patrick Bailey leading the lively, informative sessions.

Thank you to everyone taking part, and to our Funders for their invaluable support.

As we look back on three weeks of exceptional music-making during the Masterclass Seminar in Cornwall, we are extremely grateful to all our funders and sponsors for their support.

Their assistance directly helps the young musicians, often by awarding generous bursaries which helps students to travel and participate in the seminar.

The classes often have a profound effect on these emerging artists, as seen in recent feedback:

'My time at IMS was incredibly enriching, inspiring and fruitful. My lessons were highly insightful and gave me many ideas, not only for the pieces I worked on, but also for my artistic development. It was extremely valuable to listen to the classes of my fellow participants; there was an unusually encouraging, constructive and positive atmosphere among the students, which led to new friendships and meaningful musical connections.'

'I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful time you gifted me... I am absolutely sure that it will be unforgettable for the rest of my life.'

Thanks to and for the photos!
