As we look back on three weeks of exceptional music-making during the Masterclass Seminar in Cornwall, we are extremely grateful to all our funders and sponsors for their support.

Their assistance directly helps the young musicians, often by awarding generous bursaries which helps students to travel and participate in the seminar.

The classes often have a profound effect on these emerging artists, as seen in recent feedback:

'My time at IMS was incredibly enriching, inspiring and fruitful. My lessons were highly insightful and gave me many ideas, not only for the pieces I worked on, but also for my artistic development. It was extremely valuable to listen to the classes of my fellow participants; there was an unusually encouraging, constructive and positive atmosphere among the students, which led to new friendships and meaningful musical connections.'

'I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful time you gifted me... I am absolutely sure that it will be unforgettable for the rest of my life.'

Thanks to and for the photos!

The IMS Prussia Cove viola is back out on loan! We were so pleased that enjoyed playing the IMS viola so much, he has taken it out for a two-year loan.

Our Violin Project began in 2017 when luthiers Mark Jennings Violin Maker and Greiner violins created a violin during an IMS seminar. Fast forward a few years, and we now have a complete quartet of string instruments, all made at Prussia Cove.

All the instruments are loaned to young musicians in need of a good instrument and we're delighted Junwei has taken the viola back to his studies in Salzburg, with IMS alumni .

Thanks to for the photo from last week, before the concert at Trelowarren Cornwall
