Team Development Day!

Yesterday, we brought our HQ team together for our Team Development Day and to celebrate 25 years of partnership with Disney Cruise Line. It was a day full of development, learning, bonding, and plenty of fun along the way!

It was a great opportunity to step away from our screens, reconnect as a team, reflect on what we’ve achieved, and look ahead to what’s next.

Our morning and early afternoon were led by Dr. Julianne Mullen, who took us through a series of activities and games that were not only great fun, but each had a deeper meaning linked to our business:

Understanding people • Building trust • Recognising potential

Later in the day, as a surprise for the team we headed to The Traitors: Live Experience and WOW… what an experience! We had an absolute blast putting our teamwork, strategy and trust to the test!

Kayleigh is heading to the Disney Dream! ✨

Our fabulous Senior Recruiter, Kayleigh, is setting sail aboard the Disney Dream from 7th–14th September!

As a Procurement Ally for Disney Cruise Line, we’re proud to be an exclusive recruitment partner, helping to discover and connect them with the very best talent for their incredible ships.

Kayleigh is our recruitment specialist for Entertainment Technicians for Disney Cruise Line, so this trip is a fantastic opportunity for her to gain even more insight, expand her knowledge and experience life onboard.

🥉 WE’VE WON BRONZE… COULD GOLD BE NEXT? 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Excellent Entertainment has been named a Bronze Winner in the Great British Business & Community Awards 2026!

With more than 2,770 nominations received from businesses and organisations across the UK, reaching this stage is something our entire team can be very proud of.

For more than 25 years, we’ve worked hard to create opportunities, build lasting partnerships and represent exceptional talent across the entertainment and cruise industries. Jaque applied for Disney Cruise Line through excellent recruitment in 2024 & is currently on vacation after contract number 3 as a Youth Activities Counselor with DCL!

We caught up with Jaque and had some important questions to ask!...

What do you enjoy most about being a Youth Activities Counselor?
"Being a counselor is so rewarding because you create genuine connections with the families, especially during the Europe season when you can have 7-day to as much as 12-day cruises."

Which activity do you most enjoy doing with the children, and why?
"I enjoy doing four square with the kids the most. They get so into it and competitive and the counselors get so involved as well, creating endless competitions and memories"

What has been your favourite destination to visit, and what made it special?
"My favourite ever destination was definitely Norway. Such a charming, captivating country. I was so mesmerised."

How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not working?
"I love to spend my free time enjoying shore leave in all the beautiful places I’ve been lucky to visit throughout my time with Disney. Getting coffee and spending time with friends doing exciting things, visiting landmarks and learning the history of each place I visit."

Can you share a memorable moment or experience from your time as a Youth Activities Counselor?
"My most memorable experience as a counselor was when I first started. Being so in awe of the Disney magic being on a cruise ship! And when I’ve had kids and adults come from other ships and vacations and remember me!"
