French-speaking Senior HR Business Partner/ Head of HR

Central London

Permanent Position

ÂŁ70,000 - ÂŁ80,000 + Exceptional bonus potential + Private medical insurance

Are you a French and English-speaking HR professional with extensive experience in employment law, employee relations, HR governance and compliance within a regulated environment?

Do you want the opportunity to build an HR function from the ground up and become the trusted HR advisor to senior leadership across an international organisation?

Euro London is recruiting on behalf of a highly successful international investment business with operations across the UK and Africa.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior HR professional to take ownership of a newly elevated standalone role, establishing HR frameworks, governance and best practice across multiple jurisdictions.

The role:

This is not a traditional HR Business Partner position.

The organisation is entering a new phase of growth and requires an experienced HR professional to create structure where none previously existed. Reporting directly to the C Suite, you will lead the development of HR policies, processes and governance frameworks while serving as the key advisor on employment law, employee relations and people-related risk.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, improving and influencing rather than maintaining the status quo.

Key responsibilities include:

* Acting as the primary HR advisor to leadership and employees
* Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and governance frameworks
* Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practices
* Managing employee relations matters and providing employment law guidance
* Supporting HR activities across multiple international jurisdictions
* Partnering with external legal counsel and local advisors where required
* Leading HR compliance, risk management and policy reviews
* Driving performance management and employee engagement initiatives
* Maintaining HR systems, records and documentation
* Supporting organisational growth and workforce planning

About you:

We're looking for a commercially minded HR professional with the credibility, confidence and experience to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders.

To be successful, you'll have:

* Fluent French and English language skills
* 10+ years' HR experience within financial services, asset management, private equity, professional services or another regulated environment
* Strong UK employment law expertise
* Experience supporting international or multi-jurisdictional organisations
* Proven experience creating and implementing HR policies, procedures and frameworks
* Strong employee relations and HR compliance experience
* CIPD qualification desirable

Please note

This role is heavily focused on employment law, employee relations, governance, compliance and policy development.

Candidates whose experience is primarily centred around recruitment, talent acquisition or benefits administration are unlikely to be a strong match.

Why join?

* Opportunity to build and shape an HR function from the ground up
* Direct reporting line to the COO
* Significant visibility and influence across the organisation
* High levels of autonomy, ownership and responsibility
* Exposure to multiple international jurisdictions
* Strong bonus potential
* Private medical insurance
* Long-term career development opportunities
* Entrepreneurial, collaborative and growth-focused culture

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior HR professional who wants to leave a lasting impact, create best-practice HR infrastructure and play a key role in the next stage of an organisation's growth.

Working closely with senior sales leadership, technical experts, product teams and marketing, you will be responsible for developing new global markets and industrial applications for the company's advanced materials portfolio.

Your responsibilities

* Develop new global markets and industrial applications for an advanced materials portfolio, with a particular focus on polymer-based and technically complex material solutions.

* Strong technical or engineering background, ideally in chemical engineering, polymer science, materials science or a related discipline .

* Strong understanding of the relationship between material performance, manufacturing processes and customer applications.

* Comfortable engaging with engineers, technical specialists, R&D teams, operations and senior commercial stakeholders.

* Based in Belgium and willing to travel regularly internationally.

What's on offer

* Salary of up to €110,000 gross per year , depending on experience and profile

* Variable compensation at target

* Company car
