An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Reception Manager to join a fine dining quality restaurant company in the City areas. The client is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere and are looking for experienced Reception Manager who can meet the high standards needed to cover the reception desk. Due to the demand to servicing their discerning clients, they are looking for like minded individuals who have worked in a 5* hotel or fine dining restaurant with experience in reception management to join their team on a permanent basis.



Job Description

As a Reception Manager you will be responsible for:

Taking telephone calls
Providing a warm welcome to every guest
All aspects of guest relations
Assisting in general enquiries including bookings and reservation requests, dealing with enquiries & reception duties
Directing guests to their tables
Managing reception staff member
Follow company and department procedures
Having good admin skills
Help assist and support Co - workers
Identifying problems and reacting to resolve the issues



The Ideal candidate will be:

Experienced in a similar reception role within high end restaurant at management level
Be able to work within a small team and individually
Be able to work in a high demanding environment
Must have high customer service skills with great telephone manners
Being able to act upon different situations in a precise and professional manner
Able to follow clear instructions
Used to dealing with open table
Used to dealing with reports
Being proactive and being able to think on their feet
Used to dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority



The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record in a fine dining restaurant or hotels at Reception Manager level.

As General Manager, you will have good all-round experience with food, drink & accommodation led operations, maximising sales opportunities across all areas. You will come from a premium fresh food background and have experience managing large teams.

JWR is currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Hotel Manager to support with the day-to-day operations of a stunning luxury boutique hotel located in a picturesque location on the Devon Coast.

As Assistant Hotel Manager, reporting to the Hotel Manager & GM, you will work with and develop the team to provide exceptional guest service, continually exceeding the highest possible standards whilst overseeing the smooth running of the hotel's operations ensuring the hotels objectives are met and maintained at all times through maximising occupancy, revenue, maintaining and building on the reputation of the hotel.

You will be an excellent communicator and have greatly developed organisational and communication skills, being able to thrive within a high-pressured environment.

As Assistant Hotel Manager you must be a real team player, whilst being able to adapt and take charge in a variety of situations. You will have the highest attention to detail, whilst maximising all sales opportunities for new and existing guests and training your team to deliver the same.

You will currently already be an Assistant Hotel Manager within a 4* operation with good all-round experience across all departments. You will be responsible for the direct management of all departments, including Reception, Housekeeping, F&B and FOH services.

The hotel has benefited from extensive investment and refurbishment and is finished to the highest of standards, attracting a premium clientele.

Part of a group of luxury hotels and resorts, they have opportunities for internal promotion and a chance to grow and flourish within their brand. This hotel is situated in an excellent water-side location in a stunning and remote part of Devon. Immediate start available.

Required Skills:

Previous operational experience within a similar 4/5* sized property.
Have good commercial knowledge and solid experience of hotel operations specifically Front of House, Food & Beverage, and Accommodation
The highest attention to detail, leading & motivating your team to deliver exceptional standards & results meeting the hotels objectives at all times.

Manage a team of Head of Departments to deliver consistency across the hotel, providing support, feedback and development
Ensure the smooth day to day running of the hotel operation, working alongside Revenue, Sales and HR to balance all priorities, deputising in managing the hotel in the absence of the general manager
Good financial awareness with strong control of the P&L, managing costs and identifying sales opportunities.
