We are looking for a full-time carer, working every other weekend on a two weekly fixed rota. Overtime available if you so wish. You will be required to have covid testing three times a week.
Duties include
To assist residents in preparing for bed, offering reassurance and comfort.
To carry out regular security and fire protection checks.
To assist Service User with getting out of bed, washing and dressing.
To have a working knowledge of the homes policies and procedures in respect to your job.
To assist residents with personal care which includes using the shower or bed bath, foot and nail care: shampooing hair: helping a resident’s shave, combing or brushing hair, mouth care, denture care, helping the residents with toileting needs and making and changing beds.
Helping the resident with physical and mental activity, this could involve talking to them, reading to them, writing on their behalf, assisting with their hobbies and recreation activities.
Assist with serving meals and other domestic duties you are qualified and assigned to undertake.
Be on standby to answer emergency bell calls, answer the telephone and door.
Ensuring care notes and any other form of written or electronic reports that affects your work are read and kept up to date.
Take part in staff meetings and training activities as required

We are seeking an individual who is keen and motivated to join our kitchen team. Ideally you will have a passion working for the elderly, good knowledge of home style cooking & baking, have good time keeping skills, be reliable and have previous experience preparing meals in a care home environment (ideally) and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively.

Cook Job Duties:
· Plan, prepare and serve meals to clients throughout the day and ensuring that their dietary needs are met;

· Jointly responsible for stock control and ordering supplies;

· Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times;

· Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards.

· Clean food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy

· Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate clients with allergies or specific diet concerns

· Properly store and serve food items at appropriate temperatures

· Keeps records and accounts of food.

· To ensure all COSHH guidelines are followed.

· Rotate stock items as per established procedures

· Communicates with management about how to improve meal service

· To ensure all proper uniforms and PPE is worn.

· Able to read and follow standard recipes

· Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

· Able to work as part of a team in a kitchen atmosphere
