The Power of the 20/80 Rule as a Recruiter.

Every single day, I'm hit with a barrage of tasks and to-dos as a Recruiter. It's enough to make anyone's head spin.

But over time, I've come to realise that not all tasks are created equal. In fact, only a select few have the power to truly propel my business forward and make a real impact.

That's why I swear by the 20/80 rule.

The way I see it, the most critical 20% of my time is spent doing what truly matters:

- Building and nurturing relationships with clients and candidates.
- Crafting recruitment strategies that actually work.
- Conducting candidate screening and assessments with laser-focus precision.
- Providing an exceptional candidate experience that sets me apart from the rest.
- And of course, keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and insights.

The remaining 80% of my time? That's reserved for the tasks that may be necessary, but don't exactly light a fire under me...

- Admin and paperwork.
- Follow-up and coordination.
- And all the other little odds and ends that come with the job.

Now, don't get me wrong - these tasks are important. But if I let them consume all of my time and energy, I'd never be able to achieve the kind of results that truly set me apart.

By staying laser-focused on the critical 20%, I'm able to work smarter, not harder. I'm able to deliver truly outstanding results and provide unparalleled service to my clients and candidates alike.

It's not always easy to stay on track.

But with persistence and practice, the 20/80 rule has become an essential part of my recruitment process.
