can present itself in many different forms. Hiring for technical skills is only one way of determining someone's ability to do a job. And is a limited determination at that. We are all a combination of hard skills and soft skills... and guess which ones are easier to learn?!

By not delving deeper than the and tools learnt we are turning away hidden talents. Look beyond the CV and you'll begin to really understand the we often overlook. These are the skills that the modern professional needs and many people who are considered have these skills by the bucket load.

AI has caught the imagination of users everywhere, but at what cost?

AI tools require expensive semi-conductors and increased water consumption.

Building OpenAI tools involves lots of analysis, lots of power and lots of water to cool things down.

From 20201-2022 Microsoft global water consumption spiked 34%. This is linked to AI research.

Over the same period, Google reported a 20% increase in usage.

The potential benefits of AI are widely understood but what business and data leaders must understand is that regulation is upon us. We must get to net zero or companies are exposed to huge risks & liabilities, both direct and indirect.
