Location: Peterborough
Reports to: Homes Manager/Deputy Manager
Hours: 36-48 hours per week, 7am-7pm
Annual Leave: 28 days (including bank holidays)

Are you a passionate and experienced professional in residential child care? We're looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our dynamic team and make a real impact!

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a team in a 24/7 care environment
Oversee and mentor staff, providing debriefs and supervision
Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and training programs
Ensure adherence to Ofsted quality standards and support staff through challenging situations
Actively engage with young people and advocate for their needs and choices
What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Experienced RCW or 1-2 years in a transferable role
Diploma Level 3 in Residential Child Care (England) or working towards it
Ability to work within a 24/7 operation and support on-call duties
DBS on update service or able to pass an enhanced DBS check
Experience in residential care for children and young people with EBD, LD, and complex needs
Proven ability to provide care supervision, lead meetings, and support staff
Excellent organizational, communication, and multi-agency working skills
Ability to create and maintain care/placement plans and risk assessments
Desirable:

Experience with Reg 44 visits
Previous success in advocating for and engaging with young people
Knowledge of Ofsted quality standards for children's homes and/or supported accommodation
Skills in report writing and IT (emails, spreadsheets, etc.)
