💛 Dyspraxia Awareness Week | 12–18 October 2026 💛

This week is all about raising awareness and understanding of Dyspraxia / Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and recognising that children may experience the world, learn and develop in very different ways. (Dyspraxia Magazine)

For children with dyspraxia, things that can look simple to others getting dressed, handwriting, using cutlery, joining in with sports, organising themselves or learning a new physical skill can sometimes take much more effort.

As parents, nannies and childcare professionals, a little patience and understanding can make such a difference. 💛

Give children extra time rather than rushing them
Break tasks down into manageable steps
Celebrate effort and progress, not just the end result
Stop comparisons with other children
Focus on what they can do and help build their confidence

Back to School Check-In - How's the First Month Been?

As we settle into the new school year, how have your little ones adjusted? Are they coming home extra tired? I know mine were quite grumpy in the first few weeks and extra hungry too ! 😴
Have they found it easy to make new friends, or do they talk non-stop about their new teacher? 😊

To help with the transition, here are a few tips to motivate them with homework and routines:

Create a Consistent Routine💛 Set a dedicated time for homework and downtime, so they know what to expect each day. Have a snack ready when they get home if they’re especially hungry 🥪

Make it Fun💛Break tasks into smaller goals and reward them with short breaks or activities they love! 🎨⚽

Encourage Socialising💛 If they're shy, organise playdates or after-school activities to help them bond with new friends it can really make a difference when other children see them in their own home and they share toys and the same interests together.

Celebrate Wins💛 Whether it's completing homework or making a new friend, celebrate the small victories to boost confidence! 🏆

A wonderful family in Woolton Village is looking for an experienced and professional Housekeeper-Nanny to become a trusted, long-term part of their household.

This is primarily a housekeeping role, with:

24 hours of housekeeping — generally 9am–3pm over four flexible weekdays
10 guaranteed hours of flexible childcare support each week
Occasional evenings, weekends, overnight care and family travel
Childcare commitments arranged in advance with appropriate notice

The family has four children aged nine, five, three and one. They are looking for someone warm and nurturing who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful, organised family home and is confident caring for children of different ages.

Duties will include family laundry and ironing, wardrobe organisation, household cleaning, errands, keeping children’s areas organised, preparing light meals and supporting the family with babysitting, activities, appointments and occasional overnight care.

Applicants must have strong professional housekeeping and childcare experience, a full UK driving licence, an enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid and excellent references.
