When you’re not quite ready for your Au Pair in America experience to end, you may have the option to extend your programme for 6, 9 or 12 more months. More time with your host family, more places to explore, more memories to make and more time living your life in the USA. 🥹✨

Because sometimes one year just isn’t enough. 💗

One year, one country, and so many places I never thought I’d get to see. ✈️🇺🇸

One of the most unforgettable parts of my au pair year was getting to travel and explore the US whenever I had the chance.

I traveled to 21 States during my year including New York City, California, Las Vegas, Seattle and Hawaii, I got to experience so many completely different places, cultures and landscapes. 🌴🌊🗽

But what made these trips even more special were the people I got to share them with. Some of the friends I met during my au pair year became such an important part of my life, and there are so many memories that simply wouldn’t be the same without them. 🫶

Looking back, this year gave me so much more than a chance to live in America. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me to be independent, helped me grow as a person and gave me memories I’ll probably be talking about for years.

I came to America for a year — but I’m leaving with a lifetime of memories. 🤍🇺🇸✨

Hi everyone! ✨

I’m Marie, I’m from Germany, and I spent a year as an Au Pair in America in the New York area!
During my takeover, I’ll be sharing a little bit of what my year looked like — from everyday life with my host kids and the friendships I made along the way to discovering American culture and traveling around the US. ✈️🗽

Being an au pair was definitely a year full of new experiences, challenges, unforgettable moments and lots of memories that I’ll always carry with me. 🤍
