The new line up offers multiple performance levels, allowing users to scale their scanning capabilities without replacing their entire system. Plus, the new Livelink service seamlessly streams scan data from the field to the cloud, keeping teams connected and projects moving.

🚧 INDUSTRY NEWS 🚧

The construction industry is set to benefit from a major skills boost as CITB launches its new Accelerated Apprenticeships programme.

Designed to support the UK's ambition of delivering 1.5 million new homes by 2029, the initiative aims to create 1,680 apprenticeship starts over the next four years across key trades including bricklaying, carpentry, and roofing.

With training completed in as little as 14–18 months and programmes targeted in areas with the greatest housing demand, this initiative represents an important step towards addressing the industry's ongoing skills shortage.

At BIR, we welcome investments that strengthen the future workforce and create more opportunities for the next generation of construction professionals.

🏗️ Building skills. Supporting growth. Strengthening the industry.

Major progress at Hinkley Point C.

EDF has successfully installed the second reactor pressure vessel at Hinkley Point C using Sarens' SGC-250 "Big Carl"- the world's largest land crane.

The installation marks another significant milestone for the UK's largest low-carbon energy project. Once inside the reactor building, the 13-metre vessel was rotated into position and lowered onto its support ring with just 40mm clearance on either side.

The project continues to demonstrate how innovation, engineering expertise and collaboration can improve productivity on complex infrastructure programmes.
