Throwback to our webinar on 5 February.
“Back to Work, Not Back to Square One: Supporting Women After Maternity Leave”

In this clip, we share the 3 Cs every manager should remember when supporting women returning from maternity leave:

• Curiosity — don’t make assumptions
• Creating safe space — encourage open conversations
• Collaboration — shape the right return-to-work plan together

Strong parental transition support isn’t just policy, it’s leadership in action.

If you’re reviewing your maternity approach or planning maternity cover, visit our website via the link in our bio to learn more, or send us a message to start the conversation.

As we close down for Christmas, Meeta has been reflecting on what a year 2025 has been!

As CEO, navigating an ever-changing world has really tested my ability to stay strategic while maintaining calm, balance, and clarity for the team. And it turns out my home life was doing the same!

Big change this year — I became an empty nester. One of my Gen Z children has left home over Christmas, and I couldn’t be prouder. It’s a huge step, and it reminded me of something important: for Gen Z (and really any young professional), gaining real-world experience outside of their comfort zone builds invaluable life skills.

Through travelling and independent living, my son is already developing:
Proactivity
Organisation
Communication
Problem-solving
Budget management
Relationship building
Planning

As you think about hiring Gen Z talent, look for those who have worked, studied, or travelled independently. These real-world experiences give them the practical skills and resilience that can make a real impact in your business.

Here’s to celebrating growth — both personal and professional — this festive season, and looking ahead to 2026 with curiosity, courage, and confidence. Have a fantastic one all!

At The Maine Group, we know that great recruitment goes far beyond matching skills, because it’s ultimately about people, culture, and the heartbeat of every organisation, which is why, for over 20 years, our clients have trusted us not only across London and the UK but also internationally, from Dubai to Europe, Africa and the US.

As many of our partners have expanded overseas, they’ve asked us to continue supporting them across borders, and our Dubai relationships in particular have grown organically through years of collaboration, trust and shared ambition.

Our approach remains the same wherever you are: we focus on skill, culture and attitude fit, while applying genuine cultural intelligence and a deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, so every hire aligns with both the role and the wider business landscape.

And because consistency matters, all global clients benefit from our 3-month 100% financial guarantee, six months of complimentary coaching, and ongoing CEO advisory support, ensuring the same Maine Group experience whether you’re hiring in London, Dubai or beyond.

So, if your organisation is growing internationally and you want a recruitment partner who grows with you, we’re ready when you are. Learn more at www.themainegroup.co.uk/global-recruitment/

As we approach 2026, the UK job market is entering a period of renewed optimism, and although the past few years have brought uncertainty, the landscape is now shifting in ways that open real opportunities for candidates ready to take the next step. With businesses refining their hybrid policies, investing in digital capability, and prioritising culture and retention, the year ahead offers a chance to align your career with organisations that are genuinely evolving.

Because companies are focusing more on long-term capability and less on short-term fixes, we’re seeing a stronger emphasis on transferable skills, leadership potential, and value-driven hiring. This means 2026 is set to reward candidates who are proactive, reflective, and ready to articulate not just what they do, but how they think, communicate, and contribute. And with many organisations planning structural growth early in the year, now is the perfect moment to refine your CV, strengthen your personal brand, and prepare for opportunities that may move quickly once January begins.

At the same time, workplace expectations are continuing to evolve, and because businesses are investing heavily in employee experience, flexible working, and wellbeing, candidates can expect more thoughtful processes and more transparent conversations around culture, progression, and purpose. While competition will remain high in certain sectors, the market is shifting towards roles that offer greater autonomy and clearer development paths, ideal for those ready to grow.

So as 2025 comes to a close, it’s worth taking a few intentional moments to plan ahead, reconnect with your goals, and put yourself in a position to enter 2026 with confidence. And if you’re ready to explore new opportunities or simply want expert guidance on where your skills could take you next, visit www.themainegroup.co.uk, we’re here to support your next move.

Harnessing the Power of Your Workspace: Why Employees Must ‘Want’ to Come In

Hot of the press from our webinar on this key topic for your 2026 people strategy!

By 2026, 77% of organisations will operate hybrid models, and half say it’s now permanent. But hybrid isn’t just a policy - it’s a culture, a leadership choice, and a workplace challenge.

If the office doesn’t provide something that home can’t, employees will default to the sofa. Today’s workforce expects more than desks and Wi-Fi. They want purpose, connection, wellbeing and autonomy.

💡 Modern offices must now deliver:
• Collaboration spaces that spark ideas, not more Zoom rooms.
• Hybrid-first tech that reduces friction, not increases frustration.
• Wellbeing by design (natural light, ergonomics, healthy food, quiet spaces).
• Culture you can see and feel, not just values on posters.
• Real-life relationships and learning that don’t translate on Teams.

🎯 The goal isn’t to bring people back. The goal is to create a workplace they actively want to return to.

💼 A workspace is now a strategic asset - boosting collaboration by 28%, improving engagement, reducing burnout, and helping people belong. The companies who win the future aren’t asking for attendance. They’re designing workplaces that earn the commute.

✨ Let’s build offices & working environments that work for people and watch people work better in return. Find out more about how we can help you at www.themainegroup.co.uk.
