The SOAS Alternative Investment Society is new and was founded in SOAS University of London. We seek to teach and develop the skills of those who wish to learn about the diverse world of investment, through the organisation of lectures and events with industry specialists who will provide substantial inside knowledge and teach the techniques necessary to survive and grow in this increasingly compe

titive industry. Through the events, we aim to prepare members for their potential careers in the alternative investment world, with spheres ranging from private equity and venture capital to that of investment in the luxury lifestyle. In order to provide a extensive view of the industry and its requirements we will develop a comprehensive series of events, consisting of CV and skills workshops, panel discussions, lectures with industry professionals, networking events, and an annual conference that will bring together students and non-students with leading minds in the diverse and complex investment world. As a society we are developing our reputation as being a professional, innovative, creative and diverse society. We aspire to become one of the leading societies in London's intense financial industry, and bring together students from not only London-based universities but from all over the UK.
