Folio Interview Tip #3 Make sure you are prepared with a selection of quality questions, to show you are interested and engaged in the job you’re going for! It is a perfect time for you to ask for clarification on parts of the job description, or explanation of what the job really looks like on a day-to-day basis. Remember, asking questions gives you an opportunity to find out about your potential employers (just as they are trying to find out as much about you.)
Here are some more of our fave questions:
⭐️How is success measured in this role? How will I know I’m succeeding?
⭐️What can you tell me about your new products or plans for growth?
⭐️If I were successful, who would I be working most closely with?
⭐️What is your favourite part of working at this company?
⭐️What sort of challenges would I mostly be dealing with on a day to day basis in this role?
⭐️I’m unsure about 'x' part in the job description, could you please clarify what is expected in reality?

Folio Interview Tip #2 Have you ever heard of the STAR method?
⭐️
S – Situation
T – Task
A – Action
R – Result
⭐️
Most often in an interview, you will be asked to share of circumstances that you have used a certain skill or completed a particular task. Responding following the acronym STAR will help you to breeze through the topics; making sure you hit the mark and reduce any verbal waffling.
📌 Situation – Briefly describe the situation surrounding the task to set the context for your answer. This may include mentioning what company you were working for at the time and what project you were working on. It may highlight a contextual problem that you set out to fix or improve.
📌 Task – What goal were you working toward? This may include a figure or percentage increase in sales, for example.
📌 Action – What did you personally achieve to fix the problem, or how did you personally contribute to the project? Focus on using the word “I”, not “we” and make sure you shine in this part!
📌 Result – Describe the outcome of the project or task, how you succeeded and what you learned during the process. Make sure to leave this on a positive note.
