Experience alone does not guarantee success in a private household.

Someone may have 10 or even 20 years of experience and still struggle if the environment, expectations, rhythm, or working style are not the right fit.

Private households require far more than technical ability.

They require judgement, timing, awareness, discretion, adaptability, and the ability to work respectfully around people.

This is where many hiring decisions go wrong.

Too much focus is placed on years on a CV, and not enough on how someone actually works day to day.

The strongest household staff are not only experienced.

They are observant, adaptable, precise, and able to understand the household they are working in.

URGENT HOUSEKEEPER ROLE – CHELSEA

We are currently looking for an experienced, mature and genuinely caring Housekeeper for a lovely UHNW private household in Chelsea.

This is a full-time, live-out, long-term role within a warm and well-structured family household.

The start is immediate. Ideally to trial straight away with a view to start.

The family is looking for someone who is not only excellent at housekeeping, laundry, ironing, wardrobe care and general household organisation, but also someone naturally thoughtful, calm and supportive.

The Principal is expecting a baby, so this role would really suit someone nurturing, kind, proactive and happy to be part of the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

Key details:

Chelsea, London
Full-time, live-out
Approximately £50,000-60,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
ASAP start
5 days per week
Maximum 45 hours per week
Rota with one other Housekeeper
Weekend flexibility required as part of the rota
Must be dog-friendly and happy to assist with occasional dog walking

Example shifts may include:

7:30am – 4:30pm
1:00pm – 10:00pm

We are looking for someone with strong previous private household experience, ideally within UHNW homes, who is reliable, discreet, mature, hands-on and genuinely looking for a long-term role.

This is not suitable for someone who cannot be flexible with rota shifts or weekend cover.

Please only apply if you are genuinely available, experienced in high-level private homes, and comfortable working in a family household with a dog.
