An absolutely mind-blowing achievement.

For the first time in nearly two months, it's time to step on land and enjoy every single moment of this wonderful, wonderful day! 💖

Congratulations to Linda Blakely, who set off from Gran Canaria in JANUARY(!!) Now, in the middle of March, we've all watched in awe as she has battled her way through every trial and tribulation possible to achieve something extraordinary.

This brave woman has been on constant high-alert for almost two months. She's been making life or death decisions every few minutes and has achieved not only the monumental solo Atlantic crossing but she has also hit her fundraising target of £100,000 for Action Medical Research.

We are truly humbled to have played our small part as a sponsor of Linda's extraordinary adventure.

Speaking of inspirational women as we approach International Women's Day 2024...

We are incredibly proud to be a sponsor of Linda Blakey's awe-inspiring attempt to row solo across the Atlantic.

Linda is an extraordinary woman who set up and runs three children’s homes in London, providing full-time care for kids with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.

She is a beacon of inspiration not only for menopausal woman, highlighting the capabilities of woman enduring the associated symptoms, but she is also shining a light on rare forms of epilepsy as she attempts to raise £100,000 for children’s charity Action Medical Research.

Linda's inspiration for this challenging feat comes from Piper, a 3-year-old who is battling an extremely rare genetic disease called SMC1A, leading to devastating epileptic seizures. Piper is the daughter of a Manager at one of her three children's homes that she set up and runs which provides full-time care for kids with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.

From Pasito Blanco marina in Gran Canaria, Linda started on her 3,000-mile row to St Lucia on the 20th January and is now over 40 days into her journey.

Although the Weather gods didn’t facilitate a world record, it looks like Linda will be into Barbados at the end of next week – everything crossed.

We're into the hundreds now.

When we say we, we mean Linda. She has hit another MAJOR milestone with under 1,000 nautical miles remaining on her incredible journey.

Seeing 3 digits on her screen instead of four is a massive psychological boost for Linda. Not only because she's in the hundreds, but it means that there's now room for a decimal place on her tracker. Therefore her mileage updates ten times more often, so she can see far more frequent progress. Of course the time is not going any faster but watching that clock go down more frequently has got to put her in such a positive mindset.

If she can chip away at 250 miles every four days, that should she her arrive at her destination on the 12th March.

We are incredibly humbled by this inspirational woman and are proud to be a sponsor as she aims to raise in excess of £100,000 to support Action Medical Research - which she is also on track to surpass!
