Silver-embellished baubles, the scent of winter in the air, and twinkling lights on the tree, Christmas at TWC has arrived, and we couldn’t be more excited.
 
At the start of each season, our Buyers and L&D team lead a walkthrough of the store for our Head Office teams, introducing the latest products. Last week, as we prepared for the festive season, we enjoyed learning about our new Christmas range, from dining accessories to brushed cotton pyjamas, each with their own unique story.

We’re in full coronation celebration mode here at The White Company, so you can imagine our delight when Katharine and Hayley from our Marlow team got a chance to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales in London, as they walked round chatting to the crowds and taking pictures.

Katharine told us “It was such a special moment to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales the day before the coronation. They were extremely friendly and took the time to talk to us. Hayley and I are actually camping out for the coronation celebrations tomorrow, I’ve never camped before, so I hope it goes well!”

Hayley followed on by saying “Katharine’s right, it was a special moment. We were both in absolute shock that we’d managed to pick a spot where the walkabout took place. The only way I can describe the experience was totally surreal and inspirational.”

We wish all of our colleagues, our LinkedIn community and our dedicated duo Katharine & Hayley, a very happy coronation weekend.

The relationship we have with our customers is something we’re incredibly proud of.
 
We treasure the moments we spend with them, which is why when one of our very special customers Georgia (age 9) came into our Wi******er Store to share that she’d painted our store front for a school art project, we were over the moon.
 
Our Wi******er team, as well as everyone at TWC, were blown away by Georgia's masterpiece - so much so she even came back into store to sign it for us!
 
We are so grateful to Georgia for creating such a wonderful piece of art and to the Wi******er team for celebrating our customers and what matters most to them. Here at The White Company, we enjoy celebrating Valentine's Day because it's a reminder to recognise all the different types of love in each of our lives. And no two stories of love are ever the same...

This week, a story from Fran Wyatt, a Supervisor in our Bath Store, caught our eye and the more we heard, the more we knew we’d have to share it on – because what is Valentines Day if not for sharing the love?
 
Over to you, Fran…
 
“I noticed a customer standing next in line waiting to be served, a bale of White Egyptian Cotton towels in one hand and a Noir candle in the other. He smiled at me as he approached the till.
 
We got chatting and he told me that these were gifts for his mum, so I knew I had to pull out my best gift-wrapping skills! Clearly, I did something right, as the next day the handsome stranger was back in the store, this time not only to purchase some products for himself but also to ask if he could take me out on a date! Well, cut to our 8-year wedding anniversary and two incredible children later - you can imagine my answer!
 
This year, the Bath Store has had a bit of a refresh. Our amazing Store Manager, Claire has only been with the business for a short time, but alongside the rest of my lovely team, she knows the story of how Rich (no longer a handsome stranger, but my husband) and I met. This led to her and our fantastic facilities team creating a heart cut out from the old cash desk where we first met 11 years ago - the first chapter of our incredible love story. 
 
I’ve been with The White Company for almost 17 years and I can’t express enough how much the brand, people and culture mean to me. The fact that my team thought of my family and created such a special and bespoke piece means the world to me. I can’t thank them enough.
 
The White Company isn’t just a place of work for me, it’s a family and I will be forever grateful that it gave me mine.”
