🌎 Happy Earth Day 2024!
April 22nd each year is the day that emphasis is put on the shared goals and activities that many are contributing to protecting our environment and the earth’s natural resources. Activities that are happening daily, not sure today.

This year’s theme is focussing on Planet vs. Plastics and the joint effort and commitment of lobbyists, governments, businesses, and individuals to reduce plastic production by 60% by 2040.

As you may know, the fashion industry can contribute greatly to this effort. With 60% of garments still using materials like polyester, which, as made from fossil fuels, contributes greatly to climate change. As well as the pollution of waterways, our food system, and ecosystems due to microplastics released by the manufacture and washing of polyester garments.

Reducing the amount of virgin and recycled poly in apparel, can make huge strides in achieving the 60% reduction goals and making the world a healthier place to live in.

It was an invaluable episode, as we talked about how De Ronde supports sports brands in every aspect of launching and developing, particularly, in a sustainable way. And we hear from Ben’s perspective, how De Ronde is doing that for GoofyPro and how their collaboration works.
