🎉 Nurse of the Month – Congratulations Hugo! 🎉
We are delighted to celebrate Gennagyij “Hugo” as our Nurse of the Month!
Hugo’s journey in nursing is truly inspiring. Originally trained in Ukraine, his career has taken him across countries and specialties from Neurosurgery ICU in Hungary to Paediatric Intensive Care in Oxford, and now to complex community care with DH24.
With over a decade of experience in critical care, Hugo has witnessed some of the most challenging and meaningful moments in healthcare. One particularly unforgettable experience involved caring for a pregnant woman who suffered a severe brain haemorrhage. Through extraordinary medical care, her baby’s life was saved and five other lives were transformed through organ donation
a powerful reminder of the impact healthcare professionals have every day.
Today, Hugo continues to make a difference in complex care, working across multiple packages as a team leader and competency assessor, supporting both clients and colleagues with dedication and compassion.
His philosophy is simple but powerful:

✨ Be firm.
✨ Know what you are doing.
✨ Love what you do.
When nurses bring their heart to the job, success naturally follows and Hugo is a wonderful example of this.
