Job Title: Nursery Area Manager

Our client, a group of award-winning, reputable, independent day nurseries have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Nursery Area Manager in North London. They are looking for an experienced Senior Nursery Manager who is dynamic and prepared for the next stage in their career. The vacancy is for a Principal over two beautiful and newly refurbished nursery schools in the heart of the city (Islington). The two settings are established with teams including nursery managers at each branch. This role as Principal is for someone who can steer and drive the nurseries in implementing and achieving strategic and operational objectives.
As a Nursery Area Manager, your duties will include but not limited to:
Take responsibility for drawing up long-term, medium-term and sessional curriculum plans which take into account the requirements of the Montessori Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and to monitor the effectiveness of the setting’s curriculum;
Effectively lead, develop and manage large teams to ensure that the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
Motivate and lead your Managers to achieve outstanding practice.
Plan, review and implement industry and legislative developments to ensure compliance and a forward-thinking approach is adopted.
Work in partnership with the parents and carers.
Act as the setting's designated Child Protection Officer.
Manage a fully operational budget.
Ensure that the settings are compliant with Health and Safety and OFSTED requirements.
Embrace, adopt and implement company initiatives and ideas to support the organization’s aims and values.
The ideal Nursery Area Manager will hold the following qualifications and experiences:
A Montessori International Diploma (preferred not essential)
Knowledge and experience in using First Steps Software would be an advantage
Minimum NVQ level 3 qualification in early years or equivalent.
Proven track record of achievement in OFSTED inspections.
Previous experience of leading exceptional childcare standards and compliance with Health and Safety and OFSTED requirements.
A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets and KPI's.
Applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS (formally CRB)
