The Grade II listed Battersea Power Station has been removed from Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register ahead of its public opening next year, marking another significant step forward in its regeneration.

The development is a truly iconic building in London, having been built from 1929 onwards and supplying a fifth of the city's electricity at its peak. The Power Station was decommissioned in 1983, and the Grade II listed building was added to the Heritage at Risk Register in 1991 after years of sitting derelict.

It's been fantastic to be able to place so many of our candidates at this truly remarkable development, and we're excited for the grand opening next year.

Wow - this week's future project is impressive!

70 Gracechurch Street will be made up of not one but
THREE linked skyscrapers!

Situated next to Leadenhall Market, the trio of
buildings will provide mixed use space with office and commercial units; the
ground floor will allow for flexible market halls and pop up units to improve
public realm.

Architects Kohn Pedersen Fox have paid respect
to both the traditional and new innovate designs across London.
At street level, the stepped podium provides a
seamless knit between buildings, paying respect to the listed, traditional
frontages of Gracechurch Street.
But looking up, the trio of tapered glass towers
stand tall and in keeping with the impressive height of the city.

70 Gracechurch Street will be one of the first office
buildings in the city to be rated BREEAM Outstanding. The new building will
consume 45% less energy than the building it replaces due to efficiency façade,
free evaporative cooling, urban greening and natural ventilation.
